NFL Week 3 Schedule Edges Due To Rest
Thursday Night Football Teams
The Bills (vs. JAC) and Dolphins (at SEA) get three days of rest edges for Week 3.
Miami will need it, considering their injury situation. Chief among the concerns is obviously QB Tua Tagovailoa, who seems certain to sit out. That leaves quarterbacking duties to either Skylar Thompson or the freshly signed Tyler “Snoop” Huntley. No matter who starts, expect a sizable downgrade, but at least they’ll have the backing of a quality system and coach along with extra prep time.
Monday Night Football Teams
The Saints (vs. PHI) and Chiefs (at ATL) have one day of rest edge for Week 3.
Philadelphia remains without A.J. Brown. It sounds certain he’ll miss at least one more week, so the Eagles are up against it a little bit facing a red-hot Saints team on the road with short rest.

NFL Week 3 Schedule Edges Due to Travel
West Coast Teams Going East
The Chargers play in Pittsburgh during the early window of Sunday games. However, they reportedly remained on the East Coast after playing the Panthers, so they shouldn’t be too affected.
The Broncos play in Tampa Bay during the early window of Sunday games.
East Coast Teams Going West
The Panthers play in Las Vegas during the afternoon window of Sunday games. Remember that Andy Dalton will take over as the starting QB this week as well.
The Dolphins play in Seattle during the afternoon window of Sunday games. They do get extra rest to mitigate the travel disadvantage, though.
