Although the Bengals have been declared AFC North champions with the Bengals-Bills Week 17 game not being resumed, the Ravens could still get a Wild Card home game via coin flip against the Bengals. However, Baltimore must win this week and have the Chargers win too in order to create the coin flip. A Bengals win ensures Cincinnati gets at least one playoff home game.

Ravens vs. Bengals Betting Insights
Reasons The Ravens Can Cover The Spread
The Ravens are getting a touchdown in division against a team they beat earlier this season, albeit with Lamar Jackson. The Ravens have a rest advantage, and didn’t have to go through the hell that the Bengals did on Monday Night. The bigger point is that it could be a lower scoring game, with the Ravens still boasting a top 10 defense by both DVOA and PFF grades. With the Bengals’ inability to efficiently run the ball – 29th in yards/rush – the Bengals will force themselves into a decent amount of 3rd and mediums. While they usually convert those – 4th in Third Down Offense – the Ravens could give themselves a chance to get stops.
Reasons The Bengals Can Cover The Spread
The Ravens have not been able to score two touchdowns in any game since Lamar went down. In the 5 mostly or entirely Tyler Huntley games, the Ravens have yet to score 2 TDs or 20 points, and their only touchdown against the Steelers last week was because Pittsburgh committed an inane penalty to gift them a crucial first down.
The Bengals are, by any metric, at least a touchdown better than this version of the Ravens. Since the Quarterback switch in Baltimore, Joe Burrow has been 8th in the league in EPA/Play, Huntley has been 20th. The Bengals will score, and the Ravens can’t match that.
Reasons to bet the over
This game has a very correlated total and side betting opportunity – the only way this game goes over is if the Bengals blow the Ravens out. If this game is close in the fourth quarter, it is not likely to be because the Ravens are scoring a ton, which means the Over is likely correlated with the Bengals covering the number.
Reasons to bet the under
In the same way, if the under comes in, it’s probably because it’s a low scoring game and the Ravens have managed to get the Bengals to play Ravens ball. The Ravens play a slow pace with Huntley, and run the ball a ton to milk the clock. If that happens, as they managed to do against the Steelers, then the Ravens can cover in most game scripts where the under comes in.
Ravens vs. Bengals Props: Matchups To Watch For
Tee Higgins Receiving Yards – the Bengals will be able to slice through the Ravens in the air in this game, and Higgins is likely going to be the main beneficiary. With him receiving 17 targets combined in Week’s 15 and 16, the Bengals are getting Tee back into the offense in a real way, and the Bengals should give him the chances to go over.
Final Thoughts
It’s hard to think about this game without thinking about what happened on Monday night, but with the good news about Damar Hamlin, there’s reasons to think this game will go on about as normally as it could.
The Ravens without Lamar are not that good, and the best case anyone can make for Lamar Jackson is just how bad the Ravens have been offensively without him. In the five games without him finishing, they’ve yet to score more than 16 points or score 2 TDs. And that’s not good enough against the Bengals.
The best, and frankly only reasonable, case against the Bengals is that their quick passing offense will be disconnected as everyone is still in a state of some shock after the events of last week, but in the NFL and in other sports, trauma often leads to brilliance. Be it Brett Favre’s Monday Night performance against the Raiders after his father’s death or various other examples.
The Bengals are a really good team that can score quickly and score often against a team that can’t score for their lives. Best of luck betting Ravens Bengals odds.
