NFL Week 17 odds

Here is a look at updated NFL odds for Week 17, with point spreads, moneylines, and totals available at betting apps near you.

Seattle Seahawks (-3.5) at Chicago Bears

The Seahawks fought hard against the Vikings at home on Sunday before falling by a 27-24 score. Kenneth Walker returned from a two-game absence and promptly suffered an ankle injury that forced his early exit from the game and required an MRI. Zach Charbonnet will be poised to step back into the lead-back role for this Thursday night matchup against a Chicago defense that’s been very beatable via the run.

The Bears suffered their ninth straight loss Sunday against the Lions juggernaut, falling by a 34-17 score at home. Caleb Williams did have one of his best games yet and eclipsed 300 yards. But the defense seems to be wilting under the pressure of playing from behind each game.

The game has opened with an over/under of 43.5 points.

Los Angeles Chargers (-4.5) at New England Patriots

The Chargers squeaked out a gutsy comeback win over the Broncos on Thursday night to open Week 16, prevailing by a 34-27 score. Gus Edwards seemingly took back the lead-back role and scored a pair of rushing TDs. The matchup on the ground will be even better in this spot. Los Angeles remains in the thick of the wild-card race while tied with the Broncos at 9-6 within the division.

The Patriots gave the Bills more than they bargained for in Week 16, nearly pulling off what would have been the upset of the season before falling by a 24-21 score. Drake Maye took another big step forward in his development. He appears to be on an ideal early-career trajectory, considering the poor quality of the offensive line he plays behind and the weak group of receivers at his disposal.

The game has opened with an over/under of 42.5 points.

Denver Broncos at Cincinnati Bengals (-3.5)

The Broncos fell to the Chargers by a 34-27 score to start Week 16, blowing a second-half lead and falling to 9-6 in the process. Denver’s Bo Nix bounced back nicely from throwing five interceptions over the previous two games, putting together a clean performance and hanging tough in his showdown against Justin Herbert. Despite the Bengals’ struggles on defense, this will be an even stiffer test considering the caliber of offense on the other sideline.

Cincinnati kept itself in contention for an AFC wild-card spot in Week 16 with a 24-6 win over the Browns. That pushed the Bengals’ record to 7-8. Joe Burrow and Co. cannot afford another loss for their longshot playoff hopes to remain viable, so this should be a highly competitive game and great strength vs. strength matchup, considering Denver’s typically suffocating secondary.

The game has opened with an over/under of 50 points.

Arizona Cardinals at Los Angeles Rams (-6)

The Cardinals saw their once-vibrant playoff hopes suffer a deathblow in Week 16 with an overtime road loss to the improving Panthers. To add injury to insult, James Conner suffered a twisted knee in the third quarter that knocked him out of the game and may lead to him being shut down the rest of the way.

On the other hand, the Rams kept themselves right in the thick of the NFC playoff picture with a gritty 19-9 cross-country road win over the Jets. Los Angeles’ defense continued to demonstrate late-season improvement. The combination of the Rams’ fourth straight win and the Seahawks’ loss to the Vikings gave Sean McVay’s club sole possession of first place at 9-6.

The game has opened with an over/under of 48.5 points.

Tennessee Titans at Jacksonville Jaguars (-1)

The Titans turned to Mason Rudolph at quarterback in Week 16 and nearly pulled off a road win before falling by a 38-30 score. Rudolph racked up several chunk plays through the air but also threw three picks, the final one on a game-ending Hail Mary. With nothing to lose, Tennessee is likely to stick with the veteran for this favorable matchup.

The Jaguars couldn’t quite prevail in their trip to Vegas in Week 16. But Mac Jones continued to look like a significantly improved player and once again flashed a dynamic connection with Brian Thomas Jr. Jones threw for 247 yards and a touchdown, with nine of his completions, 132 of his yards, and the one score going to the ultra-talented rookie wideout.

The game has opened with an over/under of 41 points.

Carolina Panthers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-9.5)

The Panthers continued their noteworthy second-half improvement and got to play spoiler in the process in Week 16, knocking the Cardinals out of playoff contention with a 36-33 overtime victory. Bryce Young threw for 158 yards and a pair of touchdowns while adding 68 rushing yards and a score. Most importantly, Young did not commit a turnover after giving up the ball four times versus the Cowboys.

The Buccaneers took a particularly ill-timed loss in Week 16, falling to the Cowboys on Sunday night by a 26-24 score. Tampa Bay’s secondary once again was a culprit. They gave up 292 passing yards and a touchdown to Cooper Rush despite the Bucs’ elite run defense making Dallas one-dimensional. Todd Bowles’ squad is now tied with Atlanta atop the NFC South at 8-7. But the Falcons own the tiebreaker due to their season sweep of Tampa Bay.

The game has opened with an over/under of 49.5 points.

Indianapolis Colts (-7.5) at New York Giants

The Colts outlasted the Titans in a 38-30 track meet in Week 16, winning despite Anthony Richardson throwing the ball only 11 times. Jonathan Taylor made the air attack a moot point. He rushed for 218 yards and three touchdowns in the second-best performance of his career. Indy remains in contention for one of two remaining AFC wild-card spots but must make good on their heavy road-favorite status here to stay in the hunt.

The Giants’ trainwreck of a season kept barreling down the tracks in Week 16 on the road against the Falcons. New York fell by a 34-7 score in what was its 10th straight loss. And with Drew Lock turning the ball over three more times, Big Blue may go back to Tommy DeVito for this game.

The game has opened with an over/under of 40.5 points.

Las Vegas Raiders at New Orleans Saints (-1.5)

The Raiders snapped their long losing streak with a 19-14 win over the Jaguars. It wasn’t pretty, but Aidan O’Connell did turn in a solid 257-yard performance. This matchup could prove a good test, considering New Orleans’ solid secondary.

The Saints are in the midst of a Monday night road matchup against the Packers, and they’re already down 21-0 at halftime. New Orleans is unsurprisingly overmatched in the cold-weather prime-time tilt. Their struggles could cause this line to move closer to pick ’em territory despite this being a much more winnable scenario.

The game has opened with an over/under of 40 points.

New York Jets at Buffalo Bills (-10)

The Jets offense couldn’t carry over its surge of momentum from its Week 15 win into Sunday. They fell to the Rams by a 19-9 score at home. Aaron Rodgers played another solid game with 256 yards and a touchdown without an interception. Gang Green could take a page out of the Patriots’ Week 16 playbook in this spot and play loose and unpredictable on offense versus a Buffalo team that’s a heavy favorite.

The Bills did indeed get a full four quarters from the visiting Patriots in Week 16. Buffalo’s defense continued to show signs of late-season wear and tear while giving up 379 total yards to New England. This game could be a tougher test than what the line would imply, given how much smoother the Rodgers-Davante Adams connection has looked recently.

The game has opened with an over/under of 46.5 points.

Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles (-7)

The Cowboys were knocked out of the playoffs Sunday but still got the satisfaction of a win, topping the Buccaneers by a 26-24 score in prime time for their second home victory of the season. Cooper Rush continued to flash some impressive play with 292 yards and a touchdown. He put up those numbers despite Rico Dowdle being stonewalled to the tune of 23 yards on 13 carries.

The Eagles had an eventful Sunday of their own, albeit in a much more unpleasant fashion. Philly not only blew a double-digit second-half lead against the Commanders, but they also lost Jalen Hurts to a concussion. Then, backup Kenny Pickett suffered a rib injury for which he underwent X-rays. Therefore, the Eagles’ QB situation will be one to monitor this week. Tanner McKee is currently the only healthy signal-caller entering the week.

The game has opened with an over/under of 43 points.

Miami Dolphins (-3) at Cleveland Browns

The Dolphins remained alive for an AFC wild-card spot Sunday with a 29-17 win over the 49ers to move to 7-8. De’Von Achane finally broke through for a 100-yard performance (17-120-1) and added a 6-70 receiving line. Miami got it done without Jaylen Waddle (knee) as well. It remains to be seen if the talented wideout can make it back for this game.

The Browns went with Dorian Thompson-Robinson at quarterback in a 24-6 loss to the Bengals. While the end result was an 18-point defeat, the second-year signal-caller had his moments, particularly while targeting David Njoku. Jerome Ford also did a fine job in his first game back at the helm of the ground attack. He compiled 131 total yards and a rushing TD.

The game has opened with an over/under of 40 points.

Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings (Pick ’em)

The Packers are in the midst of dismantling the overmatched Saints on Monday Night Football as of this writing, well on their way to their 11th victory. Green Bay’s balanced attack will be an interesting challenge for Minnesota’s aggressive defense. The Pack got the better of it during a furious fourth-quarter rally in the first meeting between the teams. Minnesota squeaked out a 31-29 victory in that one.

The Vikings escaped with a hard-fought 27-24 road victory over the Seahawks in Week 16. The Sam Darnold-Justin Jefferson connection was clicking on all cylinders. Two of Darnold’s three TDs went to Jefferson, who recorded 10 receptions for 144 yards overall. Jefferson also posted a solid 6-85-1 line against the Packers in the first meeting of the season between the teams.

The game has opened with an over/under of 48.5 points.

Atlanta Falcons at Washington Commanders (-3.5)

The Falcons saw Michael Penix put together a solid first start against the Giants. He posted an 18-for-27, 202-yard, one-interception passing line. Drake London exited the game in the second half with a hamstring injury. But head coach Raheem Morris said the fact he remained out was purely precautionary. Atlanta moved back into a statistical tie with the Bucs atop the NFC South with the victory but holds the tiebreaker due to the Falcons’ season sweep.

The Commanders enter this game feeling very good about themselves as well. Jayden Daniels threw a career-high five touchdown passes in a wild comeback win over the Eagles to move Washington to 10-5. The Commanders did give up 150 rushing yards to Saquon Barkley, however. They have another tall task on their plate in the form of Bijan Robinson in this key late-season battle.

The game has opened with an over/under of 47.5 points.

Detroit Lions (-3.5) at 49ers

The Lions shook off the wintery Soldier Field conditions in Week 16 to notch a 34-17 win over the Bears and move to 13-2. That leaves them tied with the Vikings for the No. 1 seed, with a Week 18 matchup looming. For now, Detroit can’t afford to look past a 49ers team that’s now been eliminated from the postseason but could be particularly aggressive in a quest to play spoiler.

The Niners fell to 6-9 with their 29-17 defeat at the hands of the Dolphins. That put Kyle Shanahan’s squad in the very rare position of knowing their offseason will begin after Week 18. However, San Fran will undoubtedly keep playing for pride. They should have plenty of incentive to try and knock off a Lions team that could ultimately hoist the Lombardi.

The game has opened with an over/under of 51.5 points.
