Lions At Jets Odds: Spread, Moneyline, Over/Under
When using the odds table, click the dropdown menu and select the type of bet you wish to make.
Betting the point spread is when you wager on how many points a team will win or lose by. A plus sign in front of the spread denotes the underdog, and a minus sign denotes the favorite.
In this case, the Jets would have to win by at least two points if you bet them to cover the point spread (-1) — a one-point win returns your money. A spread bet on the Lions would win if they win the game — a one-point loss returns your money.
Betting the moneyline is simply betting on which particular team will win a game.
The betting total is the number of combined points the two teams will score. Bettors can choose to bet the over or under on how many total points will be scored in the game.

Lions At Jets Betting Insights
Why The Lions Can Cover The Spread
The only thing keeping the Jets offense from ruin has been the insertion of Mike White into the starting QB role. Now, he’s banged up at best after being knocked out of the game multiple times against the Bills, including a hospital visit to cap things off after he managed to finish the game. If White can’t go or loses some of his effectiveness, then the Lions bring the much better offense to the table here. They’re absolutely rolling with a passing game that’s clicking, having just added first-round pick Jameson Williams to the mix. He proceeded to score in his second game action.
Why The Jets Can Cover The Spread
Jared Goff may be flying high right now, but he’s been playing mostly indoors against mostly weak opposition. The only decent defense they’ve played during the current run belonged to the Bills. Now, he has to go outside and face a defense providing the eighth-best pressure rate despite hardly ever blitzing. Goff’s passer rating falls an incredible 53 points when pressured, per PFF. This could be a snap back to reality for this offense.
Reasons To Bet The Over
The Mike White aerial show, so long as White does play and look like himself, should move the ball on this Detroit defense. Despite better play of late, the Lions still rate near the bottom of the league in several defensive metrics and just allowed north of 200 yards to Justin Jefferson. While cold weather is in the forecast, the weather also looks clear. And the Jets sustained a potentially key injury on defense. Star DL Quinnen Williams went down last week. He brings a stellar pass rush and stout run defense. The Jets can ill afford to lose him.
Reasons To Bet The Under
Williams reportedly does have a “50-50” chance to play, and if he plays, it’s hard to see what the Lions can do to this defense. The Jets have pretty much shut down Buffalo twice now. And while Detroit’s defense certainly isn’t good, it has been playing much better of late. In the four weeks since Justin Fields shredded them, they rank 19th in defense DVOA. That might not sound amazing. But it counts as such when said defense ranks 31st over the season.
Lions At Jets Matchups To Watch For
Jared Goff Vs. Jets Defensive Pressure
Again, Goff’s ability to beat pressure remains nonexistent. He has garnered a hideous 44.8 grade from PFF when pressured. He also has five fumbles already this year. Keep an eye on the status of Quinnen Williams, but this looks like a major point of favor for the Jets. Playing outside against a very tough defense, Goff’s numbers should take a major dip from the heaps of yards and touchdowns he’s been piling up.
Lions WRs Vs. Jets CBs
This looked like a rather thin Lions WR corps for most of the season, based almost entirely off the skills of Amon-Ra St. Brown. The next two best pass catching options were probably a TE and RB, as a matter of fact. All that has changed with the return of a healthy DJ Chark and the debut of Jameson Williams. This is suddenly a threatening group, but the Jets corners have produced tremendous coverage all season. In particular, watch for the production of St. Brown. He runs about half of his routes from the slot and should be there even more with Williams’ emergence, as he and Chark are natural outside receivers. The Jets are weaker against slot WRs, with a middling 16th-place ranking in DVOA.
Jets RBs Vs. Lions Rushing Defense
The last two weeks the Jets have had 47 pass attempts and 57 pass attempts. That’s simply too many, and their one-dimensional offense has let opposing pass rushes zero in on Mike White. Particularly with White banged up and the line holding up poorly in obvious passing downs, it’s important for the Jets to get something out of their running game. Detroit, trucked by opposing rushing attacks for much of the season, has moved up to 13th in EPA/play allowed since Week 11. Zonovan Knight looks like the Jets RB to watch here. He dominated touches last week and Michael Carter did himself no favors with a lost fumble.
This would seem to be a pretty good spot for the Jets. The Lions’ market is peaking and they’re playing above the talent level of the roster, in all likelihood. Jared Goff has been enjoying pretty ideal passing conditions, but he’ll be immensely challenged here in a tough environment against a top-notch unit. And Mike White has the passing offense operating at a respectable level. But, the Jets do have some pretty big injury concerns between White and Quinnen Williams, a crucial player on each side of the ball. White’s going to go, but will he be close to 100%? And just how big of a boost has this Detroit passing game gotten from the newfound receiving depth? These are the key variables heading into this game.
Best of luck betting on Lions Jets odds.
