NFLWeek 15 MNF Props: Can Jalen Hurts Get Into The End Zone?

Written By Evan Scrimshaw | Last Updated

Week 15 of the NFL season ends with the suddenly vulnerable Philadelphia Eagles heading to Seattle to play the Seahawks during MNF. With the Seahawks potentially getting Geno Smith back and fighting for their playoff lives and the Eagles needing to win to stay in the race for the one seed, this game has a ton of intrigue. That makes Week 15 MNF props even more interesting than usual.

Below, I’ll explain who I’m targeting in MNF player props and share available SGP odds boosts. Use our free Prop Finder Tool on TheLines.com to shop player prop prices from the best betting sites. Click on the sportsbook odds below to bet now.

MnF Player Props: Eagles At Seahawks

Week 15 MNF Props Strategy

This game is one of the highest total games of the week. The expectation is that with Geno Smith potentially back, the game should be quite high-scoring. The two bottom-five EPA defenses back up that idea, but I’m going the other way with this game. These are two run-first teams, and with Geno back from injury, the Seahawks will likely try to shelter him somewhat. And that means a slow-paced game.

The Eagles are at their best when they can slow the game down and control it. They should be able to do that against the Seahawks. And that game script lends itself well to a correlated set of props and bets when looking at Monday Night Football odds.

Week 15 Seahawks Vs. Eagles Props To Consider

Jalen Hurts Anytime Touchdown

If the Eagles can run the ball more and more in this game, then this prop makes even more sense than it does in a vacuum. The chance of Hurts being able to run one in from some distance always exists, but a more run-heavy game script increases the chances the Eagles take snaps from inside the Seattle 5. And if they do, it’ll be Hurts.

The Eagles have decided that Hurts is their goal line back for good or for ill. And this makes a ton of sense with the idea that the Eagles will keep the ball on the ground and not air it out.

D’Andre Swift Over Rushing Yards

Swift should be used in heavy dosage this week, as the Eagles try to control this game on the ground. Swift has been an underperformer the last two weeks, but the reasons are obvious – they’ve played really good teams and been down for almost all those games. In the two previous weeks, against Buffalo and Kansas City’s weaker defenses, he’s gone over this number easily.

This is a sensible bet in a vacuum, but heavy Swift usage is the exact thing they need with the Eagles needing to get back on track. They’ll want to get in and out of Seattle as easily as possible, and the easiest way to do that is to run Swift into the ground.

Potential MNF Same Game Parlay LEGS

Eagles Moneyline ()

The Eagles are the better team in this game, and this price is far too low for the actual quality of these two teams. The Seahawks are, in some ways, a poor man’s Eagles. Both teams are bottom-six in the NFL in defensive EPA, but the Seahawks are midpack offensively, while the Eagles are top five. Philly’s defensive personnel should be better, but part of that bad ranking is due to them playing a series of really good QBs in recent weeks.

The Eagles’ last two games were San Fran and Dallas. They were not as good as the consensus had them when they beat KC and Buffalo, and they’re not as bad as the narrative now says they are. I’m not an Eagles believer suddenly, but they are what we thought they were. And Seattle’s about to let them off the hook.

Under

This game features two teams that love running the ball, which will see a running clock and fewer plays. This total is also the product of some recency bias on the Seahawks’ offense. Even with an offensive explosion last week and a better-than-expected result with Drew Lock, this offense is mediocre. Three points against the Ravens, 16 against the Rams, and 13 against the Niners at home aren’t good enough to cash an over at this number.

This bet also correlates very well with Swift’s Over above. If the Eagles can run a lot and control the clock, this under becomes much more likely. Given concerns over Geno’s health coming off an injury, even without the primetime unders voodoo from earlier this year, this is a solid Under.

Best of luck betting Week 15 MNF props!
