NFL Week 14 teasers

Teaser bets remain a popular option with many NFL bettors. But, you must use caution when selecting which teams you’ll tease, as you can’t win long term without a sound strategy. At TheLines, we’ll go over each week’s NFL slate to see which teams fit best in teasers. Today, we look at options for NFL Week 14 teasers.

Teasers continued their late-season surge in Week 13. The options highlighted here went a very strong 6-1. However one of the losers was the Ravens, which looked to be one of the two premium selections on the board.

The Best NFL Week 14 Teasers

Unlike last week, the teaser menu looks far shorter for Week 14. Two options do look pretty good, though.

Ravens (+2.5) At Steelers

If you missed out on Ravens +3 — recommended as a play on our Beat The Closing Line show — then this looks like the next-best option. With a tiny total and a short underdog in a game between division rivals, it’s just hard to see many scenarios where the Steelers run it up here.

Many times, the market overreacts to backup QBs being inserted, and that certainly looks to be the case with Tyler Huntley drawing the start here. He’s been a fine backup for the Ravens and should hold his own here.

Plus, much of the improved play of the Steelers may be owed to an ultra-soft recent schedule that featured the Falcons, Saints and Colts.

Cardinals (+2) Vs. Patriots

While this total isn’t quite as low as the prior one, it’s still well within reason for teasers.

The Cardinals come off the bye and can attack this highly rated defense with Kyler Murray’s running skills. He seems to be turning up the heat in that sense lately too, rushing for more than 50 yards on the Chargers last time out.

That has been a bugaboo at times for Bill Belichick’s Patriots defenses. Perhaps that owes to the heavy dose of man coverage they play — second in the league prior to Week 13, according to PFF’s tracking. They notably lowered that when they faced the Bears earlier this season, but it didn’t seem to do much as Justin Fields still ran for 82 yards and a touchdown.

Other Potential NFL Week 14 Teasers

Vikings (+2) At Lions

Perhaps the most shocking line of the week to the casual observer, but the market has been onto the fraudulent Vikings for weeks now, at least. The steam has moved the Lions from underdogs as high as +3 on the look-ahead lines to short favorites. So, can you take advantage by buying the Vikings at a good price via a teaser now?

Well, it’s certainly a viable thought given the move. However, this game presents a large amount of volatility. The total is quite high, although the Lions defense has looked livelier in recent weeks. But we’ve seen the Vikings experience complete collapse before, getting routed in both their losses.

Vikings moneyline makes more sense to play here if you want to fade this steam.
