NFL Week 14 look-ahead lines are out. Unfortunately, only a few of the week’s games feature two current playoff teams squaring off. One such game in the AFC sees the Bills enter as large home favorites against the Jets, who set their season off course with a huge upset victory in New York in early November.
Every week, usually on Friday, TheLines will post look-ahead lines from FanDuel Sportsbook and DraftKings Sportsbook. These look aheads give an early snapshot of the current market opinions of teams absent the week-to-week bias that can take hold following weekend results.

Week 14 NFL Primetime Games
Thursday Night Football Odds
The week starts off with a bit of a stinker, but who could have foreseen the depths to which the Super Bowl champs have fallen? In any case, any line involving the Rams right now remains quite fluid for a couple of reasons. Nobody can be quite sure where Bryce Perkins’ talent level is, as he has only started one game. Admittedly, that went poorly against the Chiefs as he failed to hit 100 net passing yards. Beyond that, though, players like Aaron Donald are needle-movers, and it sounded like he could return in Week 14, as crazy as that might be in a dead season. Still, if the Seahawks bury the Rams, even a close loss for the Raiders this week might see this line hit Raiders -7.
Sunday Night Football Odds
You don’t often see the Chiefs flexed out of prime time, but that’s what happened thanks to the misery of repeated Broncos viewings in island games earlier this season. Instead, viewers get a potential playoff preview, albeit in the wrong city. The Chargers sit just outside the current top seven, but the Dolphins would await the lowest-seeded qualifier as they currently stand. Both are projected for close battles this week, but the Dolphins face a tough road game against the 49ers. The market remains skeptical. A win there could turn the tide, but it’s hard to imagine them laying -3 on the road here. Therefore, grabbing the Chargers early is probably the right move if you lean that way.
Monday Night Football Odds
Though the Cardinals are off this week, we could still see this Monday Night Football line move as the Patriots have one of the more high-profile matchups in another island game on Thursday Night Football. Facing the Super Bowl contending Bills, if they can shut down Josh Allen and Co., that would very likely see this line move and have the Patriots laying the key number of -3. Even facing an opponent off the bye and on the road, that could happen, as the market has not shown the Cardinals much respect.
MORE POTENTIAL WEEK 13 IMPACT ON WEEK 14 LOOK-AHEAD LINES
Jets At Bills
Everything seemed to be going swimmingly for the Bills as November dawned. They had one loss, their QB sat atop the MVP odds, and they were huge favorites heading to New York to face the offense-challenged Jets. Then, they lost, Josh Allen got hurt and now they face a real challenge just to win their own division. Allen’s play has not been up to his normal standard since he injured his elbow. But the market clearly has massive confidence the team will right at least that one wrong on its schedule with the Bills nearly double-digit favorites once again. Keep an eye on Mike White. If he moves the needle for this Jets offense, the market may respond here.
Jaguars At Titans
The Titans have the chance to all but sew up the division at home here, but they face a very difficult Week 13 game against the Eagles on the road. With the Jaguars getting one of the league’s weakest opponents, albeit on the road against the Lions, that creates a clear potential buying opportunity on the Jags. If market expectations hold, the Titans may only be laying -3 here by the time markets reopen on Sunday night.
HOW TO USE NFL LOOK-AHEAD LINES
The look-ahead lines allow you a sneak peek at the projected lines for the following week’s games. This information from a leading online sportsbook will help provide lessons in understanding lines and projections before the current week’s games are played.
Many bettors tend to overreact to the previous week’s scores and results. The NFL Week 14 look-ahead lines provide a sense of stability from the oddsmaker. They sometimes offer a clear, unbiased snapshot of perceived team strength.
Bettors can also gain an edge or find value in the lines once the weekend results take hold. See if you can find any over- or under-reactions by the market.
Of course, always take note of key injuries, travel and scheduling situations, and NFL power rankings. Making adjustments is part of the process, along with accounting for teams’ strengths, weaknesses, against-the-spread angles and personnel matchups.
