NFL Week 13 betting lines

If you’re unfamiliar with NFL look-ahead lines, they provide bettors with a “sneak peek” at the projected point spreads for the next week’s games. While the limits on these betting odds are normally lower than usual, that shouldn’t be the purpose of how most gamblers perceive them.

Remember to take note of key injuries, situational spots, and power ratings. Adjustments are a big part of the process for any market. The same applies to accounting for strengths and weaknesses, ATS angles, and personnel matchups.

Let’s break down a trio of NFL Week 13 look-ahead lines without further adieu.

Lions (-4.5) at Saints (+4.5)

In a must-win contest for New Orleans, the number rose over the key number of a field goal from the look-ahead line. Although Detroit lost outright on Thanksgiving, the Saints failed to win a critical divisional matchup in Atlanta.

New Orleans quarterback Derek Carr gifted a pick-six the other way but notched the ninth-most EPA per dropback among qualified signal callers. Given that Detroit ranks No. 21 across the NFL in that category, Carr, Chris Ovale, & Co. could hang within three points if their pass attack is efficient in plus-territory.

Cardinals (+5.5) at Steelers (-5.5)

Very rarely do bettors see a line spike two points from the look-ahead, but Arizona’s blowout loss to the Rams triggered the shift. But all of Pittsburgh’s victories have come by a single possession. Is the Steelers’ marketing rating inflated? Only time will tell.

49ers (-2.5) at Eagles (+2.5)

Unlike the last two matchups, this spread hasn’t shifted an inch. Hence, oddsmakers have these teams power-rated evenly on a neutral field. However, Philadelphia has finished plus-five in the fumble department over its last five games. Meanwhile, San Francisco appears to be rounding into form. It will have revenge on its mind, to boot, after losing in the 2023 NFC Championship.

Chiefs (-6.5) at Packers (+6.5)

Green Bay has launched itself into the postseason picture with two straight victories. Green Bay QB Jordan Love also has the fifth-highest adjusted EPA since Week 9. But Kansas City’s pass defense will be more difficult than Love’s last four opponents — up against the Rams, Steelers, Chargers, and Lions. Moreover, two-time NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes will exploit the Packers’ secondary if it remains banged up.

For context, this spread remains identical to the look-ahead line.
