Eagles Colts Spread, Moneyline, Over/Under

When using the Eagles Colts spread table, click the dropdown menu to switch the type of bet you wish to make.

Betting the point spread is when you wager on how many points a team will win or lose by. A plus sign in front of the Eagles Colts spread denotes the underdog, and a minus sign denotes the favorite.

In this case, the Eagles would have to win by at least seven points if you bet them to cover the point spread (-6.5). A spread bet on the Colts would win if they win the game or lose by six or fewer points.

Betting the moneyline is simply betting on which particular team will win a game.

The betting total is the number of combined points the two teams will score. Bettors can choose to bet the over or under on how many total points will be scored in the game.

Eagles At Colts Betting Insights

Why The Eagles Can Cover The Spread

The defense has endured a rough couple of games for the Eagles, having given up 143 yards rushing to the Texans and then another 152 yards rushing to the Commanders. If they can refocus their resources — and perhaps deploy the newly signed Linval Joseph — to stop the run, they will put the Colts in a precarious position so long as they score a few points. Matt Ryan in a negative script against this pass rush would be a frightening sight to behold.

Why The Colts Can Cover The Spread

Pound the rock early and keep it close. If they can follow that formula, this game is within reach for not only a cover but a win at home. Jalen Hurts has excelled this season on easy mode, but the Colts still have a very solid defense even with Shaquille Leonard lost for the season. A similarly tough Commanders defense forced a pretty ugly game out of Hurts, but the Colts must keep it close early so they can keep their offense balanced.

Reasons To Bet The Over

If you like the Eagles to get ahead early, the over should come home without too much trouble. Matt Ryan has shown he can move the ball at times through the air this season, but he has also shown the tendency to throw the ball into harm’s way and take too many sacks. Despite sitting for a good chunk of the season, he ranks among the league “leaders” in picks. Turnovers mean short fields and points.

Reasons To Bet The Under

Will the Colts be able to move the ball with their running attack the way Philly’s last two opponents have? If you think the answer is yes, this should shorten the game quite a bit and allow the Colts to potentially get after Jalen Hurts a bit more on the pass rush. AJ Brown’s availability may also move the needle here.

Eagles At Colts Matchups To Watch For

Colts Rushing Attack Vs. Eagles Run D

In the midst of a massively disappointing season, Jonathan Taylor saddled up and reminded everyone that he’s an elite RB by demolishing the Raiders. The Colts offensive line has struggled this year as well but were able to help out and pave the way for Taylor. If this group can get back to its 2021 form and smack the Eagles up front, then the Colts have a great chance to stay in this one. If not, the game could get away from them as Matt Ryan doesn’t appear to have what it takes to beat a team like the Eagles at this stage of his career.

AJ Brown Vs. Colts DBs/Ankle Injury

AJ Brown sustained an ankle injury and had his worst game of the season in the loss to Washington. It’s perhaps not a coincidence that Jalen Hurts looked at his most vulnerable with Brown having his worst day. Since he returned to the game, the expectation is he’ll be able to go this week, but how healthy will he be? If he struggles again, the Eagles offense looks much different than the dominating unit that started the season on fire. Potentially facing Stephon Gilmore, he may have his work cut out for him even on a healthy day.

Nick Sirianni Vs. Jeff Saturday

The favorite at this point in the Coach of the Year markets, Nick Sirianni seemingly has a mismatch in his favor here on the coaching side of things. Jeff Saturday leads the opposing sideline and has all of one game of NFL coaching experience, that after being plucked from the high school ranks by his old franchise. Saturday will have to lean on his more experienced staff members and make sure the team is well prepared for the well-coached Eagles.

Final thoughts

Much seems to hinge on whether the Colts can keep the Eagles offense in check early and get their running game going. If those two things happen, it would appear they have a great shot at covering or even winning outright. That would allowed their offense to stay balanced and not expose Matt Ryan too much to a top-notch Eagles pass rush. But if you see a 14-0 Eagles score early, expect the rout to be on. Ryan in a negative script, with the offense getting away from attacking Philly’s soft run defense, will be a recipe for a blowout. This might be a great game to live bet, or to attack with correlated parlays of Eagles+over or Colts+under.

Best of luck betting on the Eagles Colts spread.
