NFL Week 10 Betting Preview: Arizona Cardinals At Los Angeles Rams Spread

Week 10 sees an NFC West battle, as the Arizona Cardinals (3-6) play the Los Angeles Rams (3-5) on the road. The Cardinals Rams spread has LA as favorites with Arizona on the moneyline. The total is .

Both Rams QB Matthew Stafford (concussion) and Cardinals QB Kyler Murray (hamstring) are game-time decisions. With the Rams coming off a heartbreaking loss in Week 9 to the Bucs and the Cardinals blowing a second-half lead against Seattle, a loss this week might make the math for an NFC playoff spot out of reach for either side.

Cardinals Rams Spread, Moneyline, Over/Under

The Cardinals Rams spread table effectively shows all the legal sportsbooks for each of the three main markets – spreads, totals, and moneylines – so that bettors can know what they’re getting is the best price. Just use the dropdown menu to toggle between the type of bet you want, and then make sure you’re getting the best price when you bet.

If you’re looking at spreads, getting an extra half point on either side can make or break the difference, and getting the best side of a total points market can be crucial as well. When it comes to Moneyline betting, you always want to get the best number possible – all three things that the easy comparison points of the Odds Table allow.

Cardinals vs. Rams Betting Insights

Reasons The Cardinals Can Cover The Spread

The Rams aren’t a good team and they’re suffering one of the biggest single season falloffs for a Super Bowl winner in modern memory. If the Cardinals can get home on Stafford against the 21st ranked Offensive Line by Pressure Allowed, then Stafford will struggle.

Why The Rams can cover the spread

The only unit in this game that’s above league average is the Rams defense – 13th by DVOA and 3rd by PFF, the Rams are able to effectively shut down the run. 3rd by Rush Defense DVOA and 1st by PFF, the Rams should be able to force Kyler into obvious passing situations, which the Cardinals haven’t shown they can convert, running 31st in yards/pass.

The Rams offense isn’t good, nobody can claim it is, but the Cardinals defense is also rather bad. The Cardinals blitz 2nd most in the league but only get pressure 19th most, meaning there will be open guys for Matt Stafford if he can make the throws. The fact that the Cardinals have the worst Success Rate Allowed on Passes should also allow Stafford to slice through them.

Reasons to bet the over

The total is only 40.5, so there is some leeway here, and the Cardinals have been able to move the ball better since DeAndre Hopkins returned. That, coupled with the chance the Rams remember how to run an efficient offense means the total is in play.

Reasons to bet the under

The Rams defense is good, the Cardinals offense is bad, and both quarterbacks are bottom 10 in the league in EPA/Play. There’s little here to suggest the Rams will get good offensively even against a weak defense, and the Cardinals are going to run into their kryptonite, a defense that’s capable of stopping the run and forcing Kyler into obvious passing situations.

Cardinals vs. Rams Props: Matchups To Watch For

Cooper Kupp Receptions: The Rams offense is only efficient these days when they’re able to get Kupp into open space. Getting him a high volume of targets is going to be key for the Rams getting their moribund offense going. Reverting Kupp back to what he broke into the league as – a high volume Julian Edelman-type who doesn’t run deep routes – has to be the priority in Los Angeles, especially with the poor offensive line the Rams have.

Final Thoughts

The Rams aren’t good, but they’re at least good at something. The Cardinals, on the other hand, are just all around bad.

It’s not always a foolproof way of looking at the NFL, but it is usually a good rule of thumb that in a matchup between bad teams, the best unit is determinative. In this case, it’s the Rams D.

The Cardinals look like this talented team, because they have big names all over the roster, but they’re just terrible on both sides of the ball. 30th by Offensive DVOA and 21st on Defense, the Cardinals are just bad.

The Rams aren’t any better offensively, but their defense will give them short fields and they do have the singular best offensive player in Cooper Kupp, who can bail them out. It’s not the most confidence inspiring, betting on these Rams, but they’re just meaningfully better than the Cardinals.

Best of luck betting the Cardinals Rams spread and other NFL odds this week.
