NFL Weather Report For Week 5: Potential Rain In Pittsburgh, Foxborough

NFL week 5 weather

Each week, the NFL weather reports loom as potential game-changers. Ignore it at your detriment, as it can help you find a winning bet or avoid a losing one. While it’s typically more of a story later in the season once cold and snow start to hit, wind, rain, and heat can affect things even early in the year. NFL Week 5 odds feature a couple of potentially rainy games on the East Coast but not a whole lot else.

Week 4 was forecast to see primarily calm weather, and those forecasts were mostly correct. Everything was pretty friendly toward the offenses for the most part, and it proved to be a week of extremes, with most of the games that went over doing so by a lot.

Keep in mind these forecasts are always subject to change. Monitor potentially impactful situations as the week progresses to see how forecasts evolve.

Chicago Bears At Washington Commanders

Washington may see a bit of rain on Thursday Night Football, though the chance remains low at the current time. It’s just something to keep an eye on as game day draws closer. Both of these teams have gotten their rushing attacks going at times, but the Commanders have been stronger up front and may get a bump if passing conditions worsen.

NFL Weather: 64 F, 22% chance of precipitation, winds 5 to 10 mph

Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers

This is going to be an ugly AFC North classic between ugly teams in less than ideal weather. Rainy, somewhat windy weather is in the forecast. The Steelers have had a lot of difficulty throwing the ball and may start a backup QB to boot, so look for the Ravens to have an edge if it gets bad. At the same time, that will depress scoring and it’s harder to cover a number like this in bad weather.

Already, the total has received heavy under action at DraftKings Sportsbook, going from 40.5 to 38 in a hurry before ticking back up a half point.

NFL Weather: 58 F, 52% chance of precipitation, 10 to 15 mph winds

New Orleans Saints At New ENgland Patriots

Also in the Northeast, New England looks set for a rainy game hosting the Saints. Again, combine that with two defense-oriented teams and two struggling QBs (whoever ends up starting for the Saints), and we’re looking at a very low total.

NFL Weather: 67 F, 60% chance of precipitation, winds 5 to 10 mph

New York Giants At Miami Dolphins

October means things are starting to chill in many locales, but not necessarily in Miami, where the Dolphins and Giants will battle in nearly 90-degree temperatures. Especially with the speed and aggression of the Miami passing attack, look for the Giants to find themselves with tired legs in the second half potentially.

NFL Weather: 88 F, 18% chance of precipitation, winds 5 to 10 mph
