NFL Week 18 Weather Report: Windy Conditions For Ravens Vs. Browns
Each week, the NFL weather reports loom large. Ignoring them could be detrimental to your NFL betting bottom line, as they can help you find a winning bet or avoid a loser. Late in the season, cold, wind, and rain/snow can affect games significantly.
In Week 18, many games are set to see cold and windy conditions, including the Ravens’ critical home game against Cleveland. These forecasts are subject to change. Make sure to monitor potential situations throughout the week. Check back to see how the weather may impact the odds for NFL Week 18 at sites with the best sportsbook promos.
Ravens Vs. Browns
Winds here are expected to be around 17 mph, past the threshold where offenses are generally affected. “Some higher gusts expected” as well. Of course, the Browns can’t pass the ball on a good day, so anything that reduces their effectiveness might put something like a team total under squarely in play.
The total at DraftKings Sportsbook has already dropped a point from the opener.
Steelers Vs. Bengals
Pittsburgh is supposed to be around 18 degrees on Saturday night, with winds at 11 mph. That’s not terrible, but it might still depress these offenses, though both teams are used to playing in cold weather.
Packers Vs. Bears
Things shouldn’t be too bad here, either. But the 22-degree weather is still worth noting. The fact that it comes with just 8 mph winds could favor the offenses.
The total has dipped a point here to 40.5. Green Bay still has some seeding to play for, as they could move up to the No. 6 seed if they win and Washington loses to Dallas.
Titans Vs. Texans
There is not much wind here either, but the chance of rain is high at 83%.
The total is rising here, from 36.5 to 38.5, but it started at a low number. The Texans have nothing to play for and will likely rest their starters, while the Titans announced they’ll mix snaps for their two top QBs.
Patriots Vs. Bills
Players will battle in very cold conditions here, with 25-degree weather and 14-mph winds. There’s also a small chance of snow (14%).
Both teams are expected to possibly give the backups QBs reps due to rest (Buffalo) and not tanking (Patriots). So, it’s hard to know whether the weather affects the total plunging from 44.5 to 38.
Eagles Vs. Giants
Another cold, windy affair here. At 35, it’s at least supposed to be above freezing. But 14 mph winds should reduce the effectiveness of the passing games, which may not have much room for error as it is. Remember, Tanner McKee and Drew Lock will likely be the starting quarterbacks.
Jets Vs. Dolphins
The forecast here looks similar to that of Philly: temps around 35 degrees and winds around 15 mph.
An opening total of 42 has been steadily moving downward here, settling at 39.5 for the moment.
