NFL Weather report week 17

Each week, the NFL weather reports loom as potential game-changers. Ignore them to your detriment, as they can help you find a winning bet or avoid losing one. Particularly with the calendar now hitting December, cold, wind and snow could affect outdoor games in most parts of the country. In NFL Week 17 odds, we don’t see a whole lot to worry about in the early forecasts. Chicago and Atlanta could play in some medium-strength winds, and a few locales could see rain.

Week 16 featured a snowy forecast in Denver, but things cleared up, and that game flew over the total by double digits. Instead, windy conditions in Miami and poor weather in Kansas City saw both of those games feature little offense.

Keep in mind these forecasts are always subject to change. Monitor potentially impactful situations as the week progresses to see how forecasts evolve. Check back here on Sunday morning for updated forecasts on each of the remaining games.

New York Jets At Cleveland Browns

Naturally, this game features one of the lowest totals of the week, matching two of the league’s best defenses. As of now, it doesn’t look like the weather will play too big a role in that, but that could easily change. With higher winds around 14 mph and rain in the Friday forecast, if that system moves up, look for this total to dip.

NFL Weather: 39 F, 24% chance of precipitation, winds 5 to 10 mph

Thursday Morning Update: 45 F, 5% chance of precipitation, winds 4 mph

New England Patriots At Buffalo Bills

Currently, Orchard Park isn’t scheduled to see much in the way of inclement weather, but that could change. The middle of the week has rain/snow in the forecast for multiple consecutive days, and the evening forecast calls for scattered snow. Given the speed with which things can change in lakefront weather, it’s a game to monitor.

NFL Weather: 35 F, 24% chance of precipitation, winds 5 to 10 mph

Sunday Morning Update: 35 F, 15% chance of precipitation, winds 4 mph

Atlanta Falcons At Chicago Bears

Chicago is also supposed to get some rain in the middle of the week, but it looks like things should clear up by game day. Unlike Buffalo, though, the winds look like they could affect things here. The Bears and Falcons are probably two of the teams best adapted to playing in windy conditions, though, with strong running games and QBs able to move the sticks without throwing.

Initial action DraftKings Sportsbook actually came in on the over here, but a second round of bets has moved the number below the original total of 38.

NFL Weather: 37 F, 22% chance of precipitation, winds 10 to 15 mph

Sunday Morning Update: 34 F, 61% chance of precipitation, winds 9 mph

Pittsburgh Steelers At Seattle Seahawks

It looks like Lumen Field should get some rain on Sunday, but the majority of the precipitation should hit in the morning, with “clearing in the afternoon.” With this game naturally scheduled in the afternoon slate, there could be little to no effect, particularly given the lack of wind.

NFL Weather: 50 F, 42% chance of precipitation, winds light and variable

Sunday Morning Update: 48 F, 2% chance precipitation, winds 2 mph
