Jets WR Garrett Wilson Over Receptions

Garrett Wilson is simply dominating the target share in New York with 32% of the targets, and I struggle to believe that will change anytime soon. Allen Lazard was brought in this offseason at the request of Aaron Rodgers, but his performance has been underwhelming, to put it lightly. His 35 targets reflect that, as do his five drops on the season. Outside of Garret Wilson, Zach Wilson doesn’t have receivers in this offense he trusts.

Meanwhile, Wilson has notched 81 targets on the season, the 10th-most in the league and seventh highest in the AFC. He’s eclipsed six receptions in his last three games, one of which the Jets were trailing at halftime. Their run game has been helping Wilson in a way, as the team ranks dead last in rushing success rate in the previous three weeks. They’ve been forced on numerous occasions to put their faith in Zach Wilson’s arm to get the ball down the field, which has never been a good thing. I refrained from playing Garret’s receiving yards prop since I’m skeptical he can pop a big gainer with the Las Vegas defense ranking third in explosive rate (7.7%). Maxx Crosby can also be an issue for the putrid Jets offensive line on third and long situations.

Jets RB Breece Hall Over Rushing Yards

There’s no denying Hall has struggled lately, which makes me nervous to back him here. He’s failed to go over 50 rushing in three straight games, including an abysmal game against the Giants where he had 12 carries for 17 yards.

However, he’s facing a Raiders defense that is getting bulldozed on the ground, including last week’s blowout victory over the Giants that saw Saquon scamper for 90 yards. The prior week, they even allowed Lions rookie running back Jahmyr Gibbs to blast them for 152 yards, his first career 100-yard career. With garbage time filtered out, the Raiders’ defense ranks 31st in rush EPA and dead last in rushing success rate. They cannot stop the run this season, and bettors have been able to profit. Let’s back Breece Hall to break out of his slump in a big way Sunday evening against a terrible run defense for Las Vegas.
