SNF PLAYER PROPS: BILLS AT BENGALS
Bengals QB Joe Burrow Over Rushing Yards ()
A month ago, this number would’ve been unplayable, given his calf injury. Now, Burrow has had the bye week to recover and has looked as healthy as ever. His 43 rushing yards last week were the most he’s had in a game since Week 13 against Kansas City last year.
With pass rushers Von Miller and Leonard Floyd on the edges, Burrow may need to climb the pocket and take off a few times tonight. Buffalo has only given up 117 rushing yards to quarterbacks thus far, but they’ll likely have their hands full in coverage with Tee Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase. Remember that when these two teams squared off in the postseason in January, Burrow scampered for 31 yards while Chase and Higgins were limited to just under 90 combined receiving yards.
Bills TE Dalton Kincaid Over Receiving Yards ()
While Dawson Knox has been sidelined due to injury, Kincaid has seen his target share shoot through the roof. In fact, his 15 targets the last two games have him as the eighth most targeted TE over that span behind stars like Travis Kelce, T.J. Hockenson, and George Kittle.
He also faces a Bengals team getting demolished by tight ends this season. Last week was particularly rough, as their defense allowed Kittle to reel in nine catches for 149 yards in their 31-17 victory. They’ve been so putrid against tight ends that they’ve allowed the sixth most receiving yards to the position, and that’s with the team having been on the bye already. The main culprits behind this weakness are the linebacking core of Logan Wilson and Germaine Pratt.
Out of linebackers with a minimum of 200 coverage snaps, Wilson and Pratt are in the bottom 13 regarding coverage grades (via PFF), with Pratt ranking dead last. From a DVOA perspective, the Bengals’ defense ranks 29th against tight ends. I fully expect Kincaid’s hot stretch to continue tonight against a weak group of linebackers opposite him.
