Today’s slate concludes with the Steelers visiting the Raiders on Sunday Night Football. These SNF player props arrived on Wednesday, allowing bettors plenty of time to mull over their favorite props for this prime-time showdown. Both of these defensive backfields are generous, leading me to believe a few overs are in play. Below I’ll explain who I’m targeting for SNF player props to close out Week 3 odds, including anytime touchdown odds. SNF PLAYER PROPS: Steelers at Raiders

Najee Harris over rushing yards

There’s no denying Harris has looked awful through two weeks of play. The Steelers offensive line has looked even worse, though. Against the Niners and Browns, they’ve been beat at the line of scrimmage, resulting in backs being met in the backfield and the offense forced to operate in third and long situations. That should change this week, as the Raiders defense has notched the second-worst rushing success rate in the league. Bilal Nichols, their interior lineman is nursing an injury coming into this one, giving the Steelers line a slight edge. The Raiders lost their stud run stuffer, Andrew Billings, in free agency this offseason. Even if Nichols suits up for this game, he’s not half the run stopper that Billings was. I like Harris to finally have a breakout game on Sunday night.

If you watched the Steelers vs. Browns game on Monday night, you probably saw the same thing I did. This Steelers front provides little to no resistance against the run. There are gaping holes the size Jupiter, which have allowed opposing backs to reach the second and third level untouched at times. Granted, the first two games for Pittsburgh were against punishing ground attacks in San Fransisco and Cleveland, but still, its worrisome. Toss out game script, I like Jacobs to go over his rushing yards prop whether the Raiders are trailing or winning late in this one. The Steelers have allowed the most rushing yards (333) in the NFL through two weeks.

The Las Vegas secondary can be exploited, and I suspect they will again on Sunday night. Through two weeks, they’ve already allowed four touchdowns to wideouts, the most in the NFL. At 6-foot-3, Pickens has a size advantage over Raiders cornerbacks. He’s yet to notch a redzone target, which can be credited to the stout defenses Pittsburgh has played. The 49ers and Browns prevented the Steelers from stacking long drives the first couple weeks. This Las Vegas defense is much more forgiving, which should help Kenny Pickett and company put up points.

Pickens is likely to draw the attention of veteran CB Marcus Peters Sunday night. In years past, that would’ve inclined me to look another direction for an anytime touchdown. However, the 30-year-old is not the lock down corner he once was. Through two weeks of play he’s on pace for his worst coverage grade (via PFF) since his rookie campaign in 2015. Defending a receiver like Pickens who is capable of making contested catches, seems like a tough ask.
