NFL same game parlays and player props are available at sportsbooks within Thursday Night Football odds. TheLines.com staff is focused on delivering smarter same game parlay ideas. NFL Week 4 begins with an NFC East battle between the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants. Sportsbook software has become increasingly sophisticated in adjusting odds for correlated outcomes in SGPs. Our strategy is to target what appear to be uncorrelated SGPs that may actually fit a player’s role. Yet, sportsbook SGP machines often spit out longshot prices better than the fair odds, in our opinion.

Below, we’ll highlight NFL TNF player props and a potential Cowboys vs. Giants smarter SGP strategy for those player prop picks.

2024 Strategy For NFL same game parlays

When it comes to SGPs, we cannot emphasize enough how important it is to shop around. In our research for this season’s strategy, we sometimes found the same SGP at double the price vs. other betting apps:

same game parlay

SGP machines tend to offer lower payouts than the fair odds on correlated same game parlays.

One example of an uncorrelated SGP that apps may have trouble pricing is running back with high red zone usage for potential touchdowns but low rushing volume, overall, for high-end yardage totals.

Same Game Parlay Idea No. 1 at +1321 Odds

  • CeeDee Lamb Anytime TD
  • CeeDee Lamb UNDER 6.5 Receptions
  • CeeDee Lamb 90+ Receiving Yards

Betting on these three outcomes makes sense for Lamb. The Cowboys enter this game as a 5.5-point road favorite, which should lead to fewer passing attempts from Dak Prescott and, thereby, less reception upside for Lamb. After seeing 32.3% of the team targets come his way in Week 1, Lamb has 17.1% and 14.0% target shares in the past two weeks. Let us not forget that the Cowboys were in trailing game script the last two weeks.

We will bet on extreme efficiency from Lamb in this spot against the Giants who Lamb has torched historically. This specific matchup against the Giants’ backend should undoubtedly get him going in the receiving yards department. Lamb had 151 receiving yards and a touchdown the last time these teams hooked up. To open up this season, the Giants have already allowed three touchdowns to WR1 targets.

For what it’s worth, Lamb has accomplished these three parlay legs in one of his three games this year.

Same Game Parlays: Idea No. 2 at +1353 Parlay Odds

  • Malik Nabers Anytime Touchdown
  • Malik Nabers UNDER 67.5 Receiving Yards
  • Malik Nabers 6+ Receptions

Nabers is the first player in league history with over 20 receptions and three touchdowns in their first three games. It is crystal clear which receiver will be QB Daniel Jones’s favorite target in 2024. Nabers leads all pass catchers with 37.8% of his team’s targets so far this season. Under DC Mike Zimmer, the Cowboys have played a lot of zone coverage. Against zone coverage, Nabers has been targeted on 25.6% of his routes and is fourth among all pass catchers with a 30.3% team target share.

While Nabers is getting fed the ball on offense, taking a stab at these three outcomes makes sense, as a few of his targets may not come too far down the field.
