NFL MNF SGP Picks: Smarter Same Game Parlays For Commanders At Bengals
Same game parlays represent one of the most popular ways to bet NFL odds these days. For island games during the 2024 NFL season, TheLines.com will offer up some possible NFL SGP picks that bettors can consider. We’ll be looking for SGP angles that have some kind of negative correlation included in hopes of uncovering longshots that have a better chance of cashing than the odds imply. The idea here is while sportsbook SGP machines adjust odds down for correlated parlays, the inverse is true for uncorrelated.
Here, we’ll take a look at SGP options for the Commanders at Bengals within Monday Night Football and NFL Week 3 odds.

Potential NFL SGP Picks For Commanders At Bengals
Bengals Rushing Defense A Sieve
Coming into the season, pundits were looking warily at this Cincinnati rushing defense. After all, they lost stud interior DL D.J. Reader, and they had one of the worst rushing defenses as it was even with him (28th in rush defense DVOA in 2023).
That looks to have been a well-founded fear. In Week 1, the Patriots pounded them despite a highly questionable offensive line, amassing 170 yards en route to the upset. A Chiefs run-blocking unit that isn’t exactly known for its power either paved the way for 149 in Week 2.
That will be a blessing of a matchup for Washington’s offense since they’ve been able to run the ball pretty effectively while also struggling in the passing game. Particularly in the red zone, Jayden Daniels has yet to throw a touchdown pass, part of an already infamous rookie statistic through two weeks (zero TD passes for rookie QBs).
If the Bengals are to score here, it will likely come on the ground. The Bengals look especially vulnerable this week, with B.J. Hill and Sheldon Rankins, their two starting IDL, looking questionable to play. Both missed the first practice of the week on Thursday. This unit could look even worse come Sunday if that’s possible.
Can Commanders Win On The Road?
While Washington looks like it could have some success rushing the ball, winning on the road is going to require getting some stops as well. That part looks like it could be a bit more difficult.
Thus far, Washington ranks dead last in EPA/play allowed and 31st in defense DVOA. The secondary has been torched repeatedly by opposing passing games. That was predictable given they entered the year with one of the last talented units in the NFL.
Cincinnati has gotten off to a bit of a slow start with its offense. But it still features a couple of fearsome weapons in Tee Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase, provided the former does come back from injury after missing the opening two weeks.
Cincinnati should also bring an inspired effort here. At 0-2, their schedule is easy enough that this isn’t necessarily a must-win, but it’s pretty close if they hope to remain a playoff contender.

Predictions For NFL SGP Picks
Daniels has yet to show he can effectively pass the ball to wide receivers. Noah Brown leads that unit in yardage with just 56 through two weeks. Zach Ertz and Austin Ekeler are the leading receivers, which is no way to live in the NFL in 2024.
If the Commanders can only score on the ground, we may see both Daniels and Brian Robinson Jr. find the end zone, but the Bengals win the game anyway.
When it comes to SGPs, we cannot emphasize enough how important it is to shop around. In our research for this season’s strategy, we sometimes found the same SGP at double the price vs. other betting apps. The following NFL SGP picks pay out best at Caesars Sportsbook (+1200).
- B. Robinson TD (+145)
- J. Daniels TD (+180)
- Bengals ML (-355)
If you were to put these prices into a normal parlay calculator, you’d get a $77.39 payout on a $10 bet. Because of the inverse correlation, the SGP software is offering almost double that amount. The software is not looking at matchup research.
Good luck with your NFL SGP picks for Bengals vs. Commanders.
