NFL SGP Picks

The NFL Week 12 odds board starts with an AFC North tilt between the Steelers and Browns. TheLines.com staff is focused on delivering smarter NFL SGP picks and concepts. Since sportsbook SGP machines create longshot options that are better than the fair odds, I’ve crafted an uncorrelated SGP around this notion. These NFL same-game parlays and player props are available within the TNF odds board.

Below, I’ll highlight NFL TNF player props and a possible Steelers at Browns smarter SGP strategy.

2024 STRATEGY FOR NFL SGP PICKS

Regarding SGPs, we cannot emphasize enough the importance of shopping around. In our research for this season’s strategy, we sometimes found the same SGP at double the price vs. other betting apps:

same game parlay

SGP machines offer lower payouts than the fair odds on correlated same-game parlays.

One example of an uncorrelated SGP that apps may have trouble pricing is a tailback with high red zone usage for potential touchdowns but low rushing volume overall for high-end yardage totals.

Smarter NFL SGP picks: steelers at browns tnf

I’ll reference Caesars Sportsbook, but as previously mentioned, shopping for the best odds is a strong practice. If you only have accounts at one or two sportsbooks, now is the time to open more and lock in additional NFL promo codes.

Same Game Parlay: +250

  • Russell Wilson UNDER 173.5 Passing Yards
  • OVER 36.5 Total Points

This SGP may seem counterintuitive on the surface. However, I expect Pittsburgh’s offensive line to dominate in the trenches, allowing Najee Harris and the rest of its backfield to do most of the damage. In Week 11, Cleveland was gashed on the ground by New Orleans, which employs a similar zone-rushing scheme.

Although the NFL weather report doesn’t have an ideal forecast for the over, Browns tailback Nick Chubb should find room to rumble against his division rivals. The Steelers have surrendered the 14th-most EPA per carry, excluding plays with turnovers.

There is no denying that Pittsburgh’s defense has upped its level of play during the five-game winning streak, accumulating 11 takeaways over this span. But turnovers aren’t necessarily predictive. If there’s any opportunity for a letdown, it could come on a short week after an emotional win against the Ravens
