Theoretically, Jim Harbaugh's unit should be favored by more than a field goal at SoFi Stadium. Has the combination of some key injuries and the Broncos' recent "dominance" caused a market overcorrection?
I say yes, assuming Herbert's ankle injury doesn't sideline him on Thursday night. Thus, I'm using the Chargers' ML odds for the first of my NFL SGP picks.
Herbert's counterpart, Bo Nix, has tallied two of his three highest turnover-worthy play rates (per Pro Football Focus) over the last two contests. He faced the Colts and Browns in that span. Nix's poor decision-making translated into five interceptions.
