Key 2024 Thursday Night Football Matchups

Week 1: Baltimore Ravens @ Kansas City Chiefs

At the end of the upcoming season, the 59th Super Bowl will be played. No team has ever won three Super Bowls in a row. After offseason troubles, Rashee Rice is likely unavailable. Because of this, Kansas City shouldn’t be considered easy favorites. The loss of Patrick Queen does hurt the Ravens’ secondary. That said, the Ravens lost the AFC title game last year because of a lack of offense. If Offensive Coordinator Todd Monken calls a better game than he did in January, Baltimore can win, especially if Rice is out, as expected.

Week 2: Buffalo Bills @ Miami Dolphins

Amazon gets to kick off its 2024 Thursday Night Football schedule in Week 2. Both Buffalo and Miami lost key contributors this offseason. Accordingly, questions are swirling about the state of the two titans of the AFC East last year. With the Bills losing defenders left and right and trading Stefon Diggs, they will have much to prove. Conversely, the Dolphins must show they can create reliable offense against good teas after going out limply the last three weeks of the 2023 season.

Week 7: Denver Broncos @ New Orleans Saints

The winningest coach in New Orleans Saints franchise history will make his first head coaching appearance against New Orleans in prime time, when Sean Payton and the Denver Broncos visit the Caesars Superdome on Thursday night, Oct. 17. The visit by Payton and the Broncos is among the most high-profile matchups on the 2024 NFL TNF schedule.
