Smarter Same-Game Parlay: Ravens at Texans

There’s strong correlation between the first two legs. As Henry receives more carries, Jackson throws the ball less. In wins this year, Jackson went over 29.5 pass attempts twice, coincidentally both times against Cincinnati.

And in a twist of expectation, against the NFL’s top rushing defenses, Henry thrives. Against five top-10 defenses behind the Ravens (No. 1) in success rate, Henry rushed for 128 yards per game, exceeding 100 yards three times. Compare that to his 99.6-yard average in nine games against teams outside the top 10 in success rate (100+ yards four times). Houston checks in eighth in rushing success rate.

The good news is that the Texans locked up the AFC South and are pretty rooted in their AFC Playoff standing. The bad news: Houston lost another offensive piece, this time Tank Dell, who suffered a frightening injury in Week 16. Home or away, the offense just hasn’t quite been there for the Texans of late. They mustered 20 against the Dolphins in Week 15 and 19 against the Chiefs last week. At this point, Houston’s looking to get to the postseason as healthy as possible.

Baltimore, on the other hand, needs to win out to secure the AFC North title. The Ravens kicked the door open last week with a 34-17 win over the Steelers, and Baltimore has the more favorable finishing stretch of the two teams (Texans, Browns while Steelers face Chiefs, Bengals). Under 17.5 team total for the Texans is a bet that this game gets a bit out of control with two teams in opposite trajectories.
