49ers vs. Rams Same Game Parlay

Where’s The Action?

Over at BetMGM Sportsbook, 69% of the spread handle and 67% of the bets, respectively, are on the Rams. Regarding the total (), the over is garnering interest from both 63% of the tickets and 57% of the overall handle.

Meanwhile, bettors are fading Jimmy Garoppolo despite the betting market’s interest in the total. The 49ers signal caller going under 224.5 passing yards (-115) represents one of the most popular player prop bets on the board. Rams wideout Cooper Kupp is the other hot commodity — specifically in the first touchdown (+550) and anytime TD (-165) markets.

Are any of those markets worth a look for a SGP? For the record, this wager won’t appear on my betting card, yet these legs certainly correlate with one another.

Potential Same Game Parlay

Although the majority of the market is backing the defending Super Bowl champs, I’ve gone the other direction. As you can read in my betting guide, the Niners should possess an edge on both sides of the line of scrimmage. Hence, there’s offensive upside for San Francisco.

Long story short, Kyle Shannahan’s zone rushing scheme has consistently gotten the better of Sean McVay. Tonight should be no different — even without left tackle Trent Williams (ankle).

Let’s start with tailback Jeff Wilson for this prospective SGP. Wilson has received eight red zone carries without scoring this season. He’s clearly the featured backfield option with Elijah Mitchell (knee) on injured reserve.

That logic is baked into his anytime TD odds (+120), as he’s tied with teammate Deebo Samuel for the second lowest in that market. Nevertheless, it’s worth considering as a same game parlay leg.

Next up is tight end George Kittle, who’s notched 43 or more receiving yards in six of his last eight matchups against the Rams. But there’s a reason for that “trend.”

Los Angeles’ defense has been susceptible over the middle of the field in previous seasons because of Raheem Morris’ two-deep zone scheme. Even with the addition of ex-Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wager, anticipate Kittle finding space versus Morris’ pass coverage.

As of Monday morning at DraftKings Sportsbook, a three-leg, same game parlay of 49ers -1.5, Wilson anytime TD, and Kittle over 39.5 receiving yards is +500. Good luck with this SGP, or another one that you decide to generate.
