How The Ravens Got Here
Lamar Jackson is leaving no doubt about his status as the NFL MVP favorite. He rushed for over 100 yards and accounted for four touchdowns in a 34-10 decimation of the upstart Texans. Jackson is out to tear down the stigma of poor performances in the postseason, bumping his record to 2-3 and appearing in his first AFC Championship Game. In terms of complete teams playing at their peak, the Ravens might be the best team in the NFL right now.
While Jackson accounts for most of the offense, the Ravens’ defense is healthy and disruptive. They fully applied the brakes to CJ Stroud and a loaded Texans offense in the Divisional Round, shutting them out entirely in the second half. Offense may get teams to championships, but the age-old tale that defense wins them rings true. Baltimore may be the only defense remaining able to stand strong against any offense.

- AFC Divisional Round: Beat Texans 34-10
How The Chiefs Got Here
When KC meets Buffalo, it never disappoints. And neither did the AFC Divisional Round showdown last weekend, where the Chiefs outlasted the Bills in Patrick Mahomes‘ first road playoff game. Travis Kelce looked his vintage self after dealing with injury all season long and Isiah Pacheco rushed for nearly 100 yards. However, it was a missed Buffalo field goal that sealed the deal and sent KC to its sixth straight AFC Championship Game.
Mahomes plays his second road playoff game this upcoming week at Baltimore. The two did not face off during the regular season.
- AFC Wild Card Round: Beat Dolphins 26-7
- AFC Divisional Round: Beat Bills 27-24
