Week 6 of the NFL season wraps up in LA, with the Chargers trying to get a third straight win at home against the Cowboys. With Dallas reeling from a bad loss in primetime the week before and the Chargers off a bye, there are a lot of factors in play as we look at Monday Night Football odds. In this post, we’ll dive into MNF player props, potential Same Game Parlay legs, and sportsbook promos for SGPs.

The fastest way to make sure you’re getting the best prices is to ensure you’re checking odds across the best sports betting sites. Getting the best of a number or moneyline odds is crucial to long-term success.

Cowboys at Chargers SGP Strategy

With this game having less than a field goal spread, there’s little certainty about how this game will go, meaning a wide variety of game scripts are possible. That said, the best way to make reliable money as a bettor is to correlate your bets, as it reduces the number of overall things you have to get right about the game.

In this case, however, the Cowboys should win this game. With both offenses in the top 11 of the league, the big difference is in defense, where the Chargers are 25th. The only unit ranked outside the top 11, the Chargers have the worst unit on the field. And that will be an antidote to the soul of the Cowboys’ sometimes inconsistent offense.

That’s where this begins.

Potential MNF Player Props To Consider

Cowboys ML ()

Betting against the worst unit on the field can be a good way of differentiating teams. The Chargers’ defense got lucky the last time we saw them not cough up a lead against a Raiders team led by a backup. With the Cowboys posing a much more significant threat, the Chargers must be better. And they haven’t shown it yet this season.

Yes, the Cowboys’ defense was torched by the Niners, but even the staunchest Kellen Moore defenders can’t claim he is a Kyle Shanahan-level play caller. Without that, the Cowboys should be able to defend better this week. There won’t be many stops, given the offensive skill on display, but I have more faith in Dallas to get them than I do the Chargers.

Tony Pollard Over Rushing Yards ()

Pollard has been a disappointment in recent weeks, failing to break 50 yards in each of the last two weeks. If we think the Cowboys will be up, he’ll get his usage. The Cowboys have a conservative head coach, and even while the Chargers rush defense is comparatively better, it’s still only 16th in the league.

Pollard is too talented not to go over this number, which he surpassed in all three of his past weeks. Had the Cowboys not gone up so much against the Patriots where he stopped getting used, he would have likely crossed it then, too. This is buying low on a player we know has talent because of a few bad weeks. If there’s any spot to trust, this has to be it.

Cameron Dicker Over 2.5 PATs

This bet has nothing to do with Dicker’s talents and all to do with market inefficiencies. The Chargers are -170 right now to score Over 2.5 Touchdowns, but there’s an 80-cent gap between that price and Dicker’s chances of hitting Over 2.5 PATs. He’s 12-of-12 so far this season on PATs, and he’s gone over this number 3-of-4 times this season.

But more than any of that, this is a pure value play. We cashed this exact spot two weeks ago with the Seahawks on Monday Night Football, and there’s no reason to believe we can’t do the same this week.

Over 0.5 Terrible Mike McCarthy Decisions To Make Twitter Its Mind

As a Packers fan who had to live with this man for nearly a decade, this is just a lock. Although, I should fix the headline here to …

Brandon Aubrey Over 6.5 Total Points

Dallas is fifth in the NFL, averaging 2.75 FG attempts per game this season. They’re 28th in converting redzone trips to TDs, only doing it 37% of the time. McCarthy loves kicking field goals. This will make us all lose our minds, but it will likely happen.
