What Are NFL ATTD Odds?

Before we analyze which players to ponder over for this market, let’s assess the meaning behind it. Typically coined “ATD odds” or “ATTD odds,” the prop has evolved into one of the most popular prop bets.

Usually, players are priced at plus money. Niners running back Christian McCaffrey is the exception to the rule at . Couple that with an electric outcome for casual and hardcore bettors alike, and the craze around anytime touchdown odds isn’t a shock. Your bet will cash if the player finds the end zone via a rushing, receiving, defensive, or special teams score. Passing touchdowns do not apply to ATTD odds at NFL betting sites. If you wager on a quarterback to find paydirt, he must do so on the ground or via the receiving end.

If the player you wager on gets hurt during the contest, don’t anticipate a refund on anytime touchdown odds. Just like any other bet, risk comes into play.

So, let’s look at two sets of ATD odds for bettors to maul over — with a week’s worth of pizza money.

Ravens QB Lamar Jackson:

If you’ve yet to read my NFL betting article on possible Week 16 upsets, Baltimore is undervalued, per my model. Hence, I gravitate more toward the Ravens’ skill position players for MNF ATTD odds.

Granted, Jackson is using his legs less this season, a byproduct of first-year offensive coordinator Todd Monken. Nevertheless, Baltimore possesses the league’s fourth-highest rushing rate, behind the Falcons and the 49ers. Expect the Ravens to continue prioritizing it in this matchup, with Jackson included. While San Fran is coming off a blowout win in Arizona, it struggled to contain the Cardinals’ read-option offense with fellow dual-threat QB Kyler Murray.

The 49ers’ issues in that department were partly because of their banged-up defensive front. Both Arik Armstead (foot/knee) and Javon Hargrave (hamstring) are in danger of missing a second straight contest.

Combine that possibility with Jackson’s sizeable red-zone role, manufacturing five rushing ATDs this year, and his odds should have your attention.

Ravens TE Isaiah Likely:

Although San Francisco’s defense has yielded the fourth-fewest EPA per dropback, its struggles against tight ends are noticeable. Steve Wilks’ unit has allowed the eighth-most targets per game to the position. Enter Likely, whose target share rose around eight percentage points in Baltimore’s Week 15 win at Jacksonville. Remember that All-Pro TE Mark Andrews (ankle) is on the shelf, leading the way to his emergence.

Likely’s 6-foot-4, 235-pound frame makes for the ideal red-zone target, too. In fact, he’s accrued an ATTD in each of the last two contests.
