NFL INJURIES from WEEK 7
Here’s a roundup of the most notable NFL injuries to monitor before Week 8.
Atlanta Falcons
- RB Bijan Robinson
Falcons running back Bijan Robinson was out for most of Sunday’s game against the Buccaneers. The rookie was not listed on the injury report or inactives list. Robinson would later say it was just a severe headache that had kept him out. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the NFL is now questioning the Falcons about Robinson’s injury-report status. Robinson’s expected to be a full-go In Week 8 when the Falcons will head to Tennessee for a game against the Titans.
Buffalo Bills
- TE Dawson Knox
Tight end Dawson Knox will undergo surgery on his injured wrist, coach Sean McDermott said Monday. McDermott said that it is too soon to know how much time Knox will miss.
Cleveland Browns
- QB Deshaun Watson
- RB Jerome Ford
Watson exited the Browns’ Week 7 win over the Colts after being hit in the first half. While he cleared a concussion test, Watson did not re-enter the game, as the Browns wanted to be cautious, per CBS Sports sideline reporter Aditi Kinkhabwala. Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said following Sunday’s 39-38 win that Watson will start next week’s game against the Seattle Seahawks.
Running back Jerome Ford went down with an injury during the fourth quarter against the Colts on Sunday. On Monday, he was diagnosed with what a source described as a “low-grade, high ankle” sprain that is expected to sideline him for 1-2 weeks.
Green Bay Packers
- CB Eric Stokes
- S Darnell Savage
- DL Devonte Wyatt
- TE Luke Musgrave
- WR Christian Watson
The Packers suffered a plethora of injuries on Sunday. Cornerback Eric Stokes was ruled out with a hamstring injury. Safety Darnell Savage (calf) and defensive lineman Devonte Wyatt (knee) were also ruled out. Tight end Luke Musgrave suffered an ankle injury as well. Christian Watson said he’s doing “all right” following the knee injury sustained during the final drive of Sunday’s loss to the Broncos.
Savage aggravated a calf injury he first sustained in the Oct. 9 loss at the Raiders. A source told ESPN that he will miss multiple weeks and could wind up on injured reserve, which would keep him out of four games minimum. There is no further update on how much time the other players who sustained injuries will miss.
Kansas City Chiefs
- LB Nick Bolton
Linebacker Nick Bolton will have surgery on his dislocated wrist, sources told ESPN on Monday. Bolton is expected to miss six weeks, the source said. The surgery is scheduled for Tuesday in Los Angeles, a source told ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.
Los Angeles Chargers
- TE Gerald Everett
Head coach Brandon Staley said Everett suffered a hip injury in Week 7. He wouldn’t offer any more information beyond that.
Philadelphia Eagles
- QB Jalen Hurts
After halftime against the Dolphins on Sunday night, Hurts was the last player out of the locker room. He was seen wearing a brace on his left knee. Marcus Mariota was on the sideline warming up with his helmet on up until the first offensive drive of the second half. Hurts ultimately returned to the field.
On Monday, a source told the Philadelphia Inquirer that Hurts’ left knee injury is not expected to sideline him for the Eagles’ Week 8 game against the Washington Commanders.
