NFL INJURIES from WEEK 11
Here’s a roundup of the most notable NFL injuries to monitor before Week 12.
Baltimore Ravens
- TE Mark Andrews
Ravens coach John Harbaugh provided a surprise update on Andrews on Monday, saying there’s “an outside chance” that the three-time Pro Bowl tight end could return at some point this season. This glimmer of hope comes four days after Ravens officials had thought Andrews suffered a season-ending left ankle injury during Thursday’s 34-20 win over the Bengals.
Cincinnati Bengals
- QB Joe Burrow
The Bengals will be without their star quarterback, Joe Burrow, for the remainder of the 2023 season after he left Thursday night’s game with a torn ligament in his wrist. Burrow’s injury is devastating to the 5-5 Bengals.
Green Bay Packers
- RB Aaron Jones
Jones was carted off the field with a towel draped over his face after suffering a knee injury during Sunday’s game against the Chargers. Head coach Matt LaFleur told reporters after the game that he does not think Jones’ injury is long-term and that he is in good spirits.
Los Angeles Chargers
- DE Joey Bosa
Bosa suffered a foot injury during the team’s Week 11 game against the Packers. It looks like he could miss significant time. Head coach Brandon Staley said he will likely be placed on injured reserve with a sprained foot, meaning he’ll miss at least the next four games.
Los Angeles Rams
- WR Cooper Kupp
Kupp is considered day-to-day with the sprained ankle that he suffered Sunday. Given Kupp’s history with ankle injuries, the Rams will be careful with him as they determine whether he can play Sunday vs. the Cardinals. Sean McVay said Monday Kupp has a chance to play.
Miami Dolphins
- RB De’Von Achane
Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel said rookie running back De’Von Achane’s knee has improved to the extent that he could play Friday against the New York Jets. McDaniel also said Achane landed on the same knee that put him on IR, and it was a little painful. “It won’t require surgery or anything,” McDaniel said Monday.
Seattle Seahawks
- QB Geno Smith
- RB Kenneth Walker
Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll gave an optimistic update on quarterback Geno Smith’s outlook for Thursday’s game against the 49ers, but it doesn’t sound like running back Kenneth Walker III will be in the mix this week. Walker left Sunday’s 17-16 loss to the Rams with an oblique injury, and Carroll said at his Monday press conference that the team is still learning about the severity of the injury. He said that Walker is not an injured reserve candidate at this time.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- LB Lavonte David
- CB Carlton Davis
- CB Jamel Dean
Linebacker Lavonte David and cornerback Carlton Davis left Sunday’s game early. David was forced out of action due to a groin injury, and Davis was forced to exit due to a hip injury. The two join CB Jamel Dean, who left the game and was ruled out with an ankle injury. As of Tuesday morning, there is no further update on each player’s Week 12 status.
