Dolphins Anytime Touchdown Strategy
With Miami favored to score three or more touchdowns, there are a lot of opportunities for Dolphins anytime touchdown bets. The problem for bettors looking to take advantage of those markets is of their 35 offensive touchdowns so far this season, two people have scored 20. Raheem Mostert (12) and Tyreek Hill (eight) count for most of their touchdowns, and rookie RB DeVon Achane – out injured currently – accounts for another five.
When the Dolphins score, they tend to do it with the same few people. Betting on too many deeper shots hasn’t paid off with this team. Despite their gaudy scoring totals, nobody has more than one TD outside Achane or the big 3. Nor do they have a rushing QB to exploit, as the Dolphins have limited how much Tua runs given his concussions. That said, there’s value on the board when betting Dolphins anytime touchdown bets.
3 Dolphins Anytime Touchdown Bets To Consider
Raheem Mostert ()
It’s the chalk play, but Mostert is not being priced like the elite touchdown scorer he is. He’s scored 12/36 offensive touchdowns for the Dolphins, he has at least one TD in 6 of 8 games, and Achane isn’t here to take opportunities. He should be getting the Christian McCaffrey treatment in terms of price, but he’s not.
Against the Chiefs’ 31st-ranked EPA rush defense, Mostert should be able to find some holes to rush through. And given his monopoly on the red zone work in the absence of Achane, he should be able to get one if the opportunity arises.
Jaylen Waddle ()
Waddle had been relatively quiet in recent weeks before exploding for 121 yards and a TD against New England. That said, his three TDs this season have come in the last four weeks, and the Chiefs will likely put up a stiff defense against their former teammate in Tyreek Hill.
Tyreek has gotten more TDs than Waddle, but in the last four weeks since Waddle’s been unambiguously healthy, Waddle’s gotten 37 targets. With that reliable workload, the chances he can take one of those to the end zone or get a shot in it is better than this price.
Braxton Berrios ()
Berrios has only found the end zone once this season, but of the fringe options in the Dolphins offense, he’s got probably the most reliable role. Third on the team in targets and catches, Berrios is the only player outside the central three Dolphins skill position players who can be sure of work on a week-to-week basis. If anyone from outside the big three will get into the end zone this week, it’s likely Berrios.
