Teaser bets remain a popular option with many NFL bettors. But you must use caution when selecting which teams you’ll tease, as you can’t win long term without a sound strategy. At TheLines, we’ll go over each week’s NFL slate to see which teams fit best in teasers. Today, we look at options for NFL playoffs teasers.

Last week’s teaser options went 1-1, with the Buccaneers blowing it as the Cowboys routed them at home.

The Best NFL Playoffs Teasers, Divisional Round

With just four games remaining this week, we shouldn’t expect to have many teaser options. And yet, a potential pairing exists between the two Saturday favorites. Only one, however, really fits the ideal formula.

Eagles (-7.5) Vs. Giants

Early on, there existed a small window in which bettors could have snagged the Eagles at -7. Failing that, though, a teaser looks like a real option here, with a home favorite coming off a bye and a total just under the threshold of positive expected value for teaser bets.

Since the Eagles are pretty much better than the Giants across the board, one could hardly be blamed for laying the full number here. Remember, they dominated the G-Men in New York, 48-22, to enough of a degree that Tyrod Taylor eventually entered in relief of Daniel Jones.

Really, the only place where the Giants look to have a potential advantage is rushing offense. But, even then, Philly shored up that weakness with mid-season additions.

If you’re looking for a teaser on divisional weekend, this is the place to start.

Other Potential NFL Wild Card Playoffs Teasers

Chiefs (-8.5) Vs. Jaguars

And a natural place to finish, or at least the best second option on this board, would be the Chiefs. You can bet that a Chiefs/Eagles teaser will find its way into numerous accounts across the nation this week.

And it’s not too hard to see why. The Chiefs, like the Eagles, dominated this foe in the regular season. Despite going -3 in the turnover department and allowing an onside kick recovery to start the game, the Chiefs coasted to an easy 10-point win over the Jaguars.

Trevor Lawrence and Co. stepped up their games in the weeks since. But, they still got flattened by the Chargers for an entire half, and they can afford no such slow start in Arrowhead. It’s also a tough matchup for the Jags given their weak passing defense (30th in DVOA).

However, that same defense does provide a potential pitfall here. The market does expect a high-scoring affair, which means buying points isn’t all that valuable in this spot. This total exceeds the ideal teaser threshold.

Still, one couldn’t really be blamed for including this in an NFL playoffs teaser bet, given that it’s likely the best option with which to pair Philly.

Bills (-5.5) Vs. Bengals

This one is most definitely not a recommended play at the current number. Teasing through zero is never advised.

But, there has been a fair amount of Bills money coming in throughout the week. After this line opened around -3.5 in most places, the Bills have slowly but steadily crept up, and they’re now just a half point from -6. As the Bengals struggle to piece together a coherent offensive live, many seem to be betting they won’t have enough left to compete here.

There’s a non-zero chance chance this continues to climb, which would put in consideration for use in teasers, even if it doesn’t meet all the ideal criteria. If you want to tease the Eagles, but you like the Jags in the other Saturday affair, consider using the Bills if the steam keeps coming in by the time you place your wager.
