WHAT ARE NFL ATD ODDS?

Before choosing certain skill position players, let’s analyze the market. Typically coined “ATD odds” or “ATTD odds,” this prop has become one of the most popular NFL betting markets.

As you’ll see below, most players are labeled as plus money. Couple that with an exhilarating outcome for NFL bettors and viewers alike, and the craze around anytime touchdown props shouldn’t be a surprise. Remember that you’ll win your wager(s) if the given player scores a rushing, receiving, defensive, or special teams touchdown. Therefore, passing scores don’t count for this prop at NFL betting sites. Should you select a quarterback to score, he must do so on the ground or via the receiving end.

Let’s delve into two ATD odds for bettors to watch for.

Titans Anytime Touchdown Scorer Strategy

Bettors excited to get anytime touchdown bets for this game should be aware of the low game total. With the Over/Under bouncing around 41, we’re looking at a below-average score for a football game. Awareness of the total can ensure bettors do not bet too many outcomes when there are likely fewer total touchdowns in the game.

Potential Tennessee Titans ATD Scorer Bets

WR DeAndre Hopkins

When betting on anything to incur, we need opportunity data to make a case for that player. Hopkins produced a season-high eight receptions in the Titans Week 5 win. The veteran WR has put up 356 receiving yards on 26 receptions while being targeted 42 times on the season.

While the Ravens’ defense has been strong against the run and pass this year, Baltimore is allowing the second-most targets to opposing wide receivers thus far in 2023. Ninth in the NFL in target share (30%) and 10th in Air Yards share (42%), Hopkins has established himself as the Titans’ clear no. 1 target in the passing game. Hopkins has yet to catch a touchdown despite being tied for 18th in red-zone targets (6). He’s facing a Baltimore defense that’s allowed the fifth-most catches (76) to wideouts.

With Tennessee expected to trail in this contest, expect an elevated amount of passing attempts from quarterback Ryan Tannehill. The rise in pass volume can ultimately lead to additional opportunities for Hopkins, especially inside scoring position.

RB Tyjae Spears

The Titans enter this matchup with a fairly low team total of 18.5 points. Scoring on the Ravens has been more challenging than in years past. The Ravens’ defense has displayed a top-six grading by EPA against the run and pass in 2023. While this all calls for bettors to be highly selective with their Titans ATD bets, one intriguing player is rookie running back Tyjae Spears‘.

The Tulane product has been utilized a lot this season. Spears’s 13.2% target share is elite for a running back, and he’s out-snapped Derrick Henry in two of five games. The Titans’ Week 5 game was close throughout, and Spears had seven carries to Henry’s 12. Plus, he out-routed Henry 20-14 and only played five fewer snaps. Spears’ role remains pretty big, and this seems dependable as we see Tennessee trusting him as both a runner and a pass catcher already.

While the matchup for Spears is most certainly sub-par, the spread indicates the Titans should be in a negative game script. This game-flow projection should allow Spears to be utilized heavily again, especially in Tennessee’s two-minute and obvious passing downs. A sizable workload can potentially allow the rookie to find paydirt for the first time in his career this week.
