I’ve repeatedly referenced the Chiefs’ struggles against tight ends in this space. They still rank fourth-worst in PPR points allowed per game to the position.
Brock Bowers should be well-positioned to exploit this defense’s weak point. He’s coming off a down game against the Broncos, but an understandable one, as Denver often assigns ace corner Patrick Surtain II to cover elite opposing tight ends. Bowers should be well-positioned for a bounceback.
The only question will be whether the Raiders can score. Their offense has the lowest implied team total of the week. Aidan O’Connell presumably takes over at quarterback if he can return from a thumb injury.
In a spot where major uncertainty exists around the running backs, bettors can’t look that way. That only leaves pass catchers and QBs. Bowers appears to be the player best-positioned to score out of that group.

The Chiefs also have uncertainty around their backs, with Isiah Pacheco set to return from a long injury absence. The question is how the timeshare shakes out between him and Kareem Hunt, who has performed admirably in his stead. With steep prices on both, bettors would do well to avoid that situation.
Despite Worthy’s continued struggles and his complete inability to play through contact, the Chiefs are committed to developing him and making him a big part of the offense. He leads the team in touchdowns despite everything and ranks an easy second to Travis Kelce in targets.
Worthy has also received plenty of looks in the red zone, again ranking second to Kelce.
I think they’ll continue to try to feed Worthy and build his confidence. A seeming squash match against the Raiders represents the perfect opportunity to do so.
