What Are NFL ATTD Odds?

Before examining the skill position players below, here’s the lowdown on the anytime touchdown betting market. Often coined “ATD odds” or “ATTD odds”, this particular prop has evolved into one of the most enticing ones in NFL betting. Consider that most players are plus money, involving an exhilarating outcome. You cash the bet if the player scores a rushing, receiving, defensive or special teams touchdown. Passing TDs do not count for this prop.

This game is somewhat of an exception to the rule. Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is nearing odds-on territory to find paydirt () while both Kenneth Gainwell and D’Andre Swift are even money. Unsurprisingly, Hurts is one of the favorites among NFL MVP odds. At most NFL betting sites, you’re unable to bet that a given player won’t find the end zone — otherwise known as a “no” market. With that in mind, here are some names to hone in on.

Vikings TE T.J. Hockenson ()

Philadelphia was one of the superior teams when it came to limiting tight ends last season. Nevertheless, that didn’t come to fruition against the Patriots on Sunday. The Eagles surrendered five grabs (via six targets) for 56 yards and a score to veteran TE Hunter Henry. Mike Gesicki, who joined New England in the offseason, even tallied three catches for 36 yards.

That shouldn’t come as a big surprise, though. Philly is thinnest at both linebacker and safety — especially after losing second-year LB Nakobe Dean (foot) for a couple of weeks. Fellow LB Zach Cunningham, for the most part, was unable to stick with Henry. Then there’s S Reed Blankenship, who is out with a rib injury.

The Eagles’ cornerback room is banged up to boot, as James Bradberry is in concussion protocol and will miss Thursday’s game.

Enter Hockenson, who corraled eight of his nine targets for 35 yards in Minnesota’s season-opening loss to the Buccaneers. His scoring opportunities were limited, especially in the second half. The Vikings accrued only three possessions over the final 30 minutes. Assuming the tempo ramps up in this contest, Hockenson could very well generate a few targets in the red zone. His receiving yards prop is set at .

Eagles TE Dallas Goedert ()

Similar to Hockenson, his counterpart presents an intriguing price tag. When these teams squared off in Sept. 2022, Goedert diced up the Vikings’ defense with five grabs for 82 yards. That unit was structured with Ed Donatell’s shell zone coverage, but this Minnesota bunch is arguably in a worse position to contain the 6-foot-5, 256-pound weapon.

Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores, who replaced Dontatell in the offseason, will likely aim to blanket Goedert with a mix of LB Jordan Hicks and S Harrison Smith. Rookie LB Ivan Pace Jr. was sound in coverage during his collegiate career, yet his 5-foot-10 frame doesn’t present an appealing matchup on paper.

In 2022, Goedert was tied with wideout A.J. Brown for the Eagles’ highest red zone target share (21.8%). That percentage alone makes Goedert a buy-low option among NFL anytime touchdown odds.
