Bucs Bills Anytime Touchdown Scorer Odds Strategy
Overall, scoring in the NFL is down this season. This matchup – between two offenses struggling lately – features an over/under set at , low by recent NFL game standards but about average this season. In low-total outings with scant scoring opportunities, it’s best to lean into high-volume players and go-to guys rather than try for the sneaky longshot touchdown scorer. The Bills spread the football out much more, but 48% of Baker Mayfield’s targets have gone to his top two receivers, Mike Evans and Chris Godwin.
The Buccaneers also have just one rushing touchdown on the season. They lack explosiveness in the backfield, and when the ball gets close to the goal line, they opt to find receivers and tight ends over trying to rush the football in with Rachaad White or Keyshawn Vaughn.
Buccaneer TNF Anytime Touchdown Odds
WR Mike Evans ()
Evans has been the only constant on the Bucs offense this season. He leads all players with four receiving touchdowns and still possesses big-play ability. Evans has seen 10 targets in three games this year and most recently pulled in six of eight targets against Atlanta last week. A boost for the star receiver – Bills’ top corner Tre’Davious White is out for the season with an injury, perhaps the biggest in a slew of injuries for Buffalo.
WR Chris Godwin ()
Along the same lines as Evans, Godwin matches his target share on the season (49 apiece) and out-targets Evans over their last three games. Most recently, Godwin saw 12 targets, a season-high. Overall, his target share is on the increase. The most valuable targets – and the reason I believe he might be the best ATD play for Thursday night – come inside the 10-yard line, where Mayfield has thrown Godwin’s way five times, 13th-most in the NFL. Thanks to inefficiency around the goal line in the run game, Godwin may again be the beneficiary of green zone targets.
