With Week 5 of the NFL season coming to a close with a doubleheader on Sunday Night Football, there will be a lot of options at the best sports betting sites for Cowboys vs. 49ers. One of the most popular props is anytime touchdown odds and first TD scorer props. Between the fun of a quarterback running one in or a wide receiver cashing with an insane catch, ATTD odds have become a fan favorite.

COWBOYS 49ERS Anytime Touchdown Scorer Strategy

Bettors excited to get anytime touchdown markets this week should be aware of the low game total. With the Over/Under bouncing around 45, we’re looking at an average score of a football game. Being aware of the total can ensure bettors do not bet too many outcomes when there are likely fewer total touchdowns in the game.

In this case, Christian McCaffrey scored four touchdowns last week in their 35-13 thumping of the Cardinals, so some mild caution should be applied here, as this could become a CMC show once again. That said, there are a few plays that make sense in the ATTD market.

COWBOYS 49ERS ATTD SCORER BETS

49ers TE George Kittle

The Cowboys’ stiff run defense leads me to believe that Kittle may be the play tonight. Dallas has allowed only one touchdown to running backs thus far, the second least in the NFL. If they sell out to stop CMC from crossing the goal line, I can see Shanahan dialing up a play-action to Kittle in the back of the end zone. I’d bet Kyle Juszczyk’s ATTD odds, but Shanahan already tried getting him in last week and failed. McCaffrey’s 13 straight games with a touchdown will undoubtedly be a topic of conversation in the Dallas defensive room. Kittle, at over +200, is fantastic value for one of the best tight ends in the league.

49ers WR Deebo Samuel

Even though he’s only scored once, I like Deebo to notch his second touchdown against the Cowboys. He leads the team in four red-zone targets, which makes me believe another breakout game is coming. His game against the Cardinals is concerning to a degree. He had three carries for a meager six yards and no targets in the game. However, he didn’t practice leading up to the game because he had a rib and knee injury.

Assuming he’s healthy, this is a nice bounce-back spot against a Dallas defense that has yet to face an elite offense. It should be noted the two touchdowns the Cowboys have allowed to receivers were against Marquise Brown and Garret Wilson. They simply struggle to contain fast receivers, and Deebo fits that mold Sunday night.

49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk

With an average DOT of 16 yards, Aiyuk has been the home run hitter thus far for the Niners. He’s also tied for the team lead in red-zone targets with four. My main concern is getting him time for his route to develop against a nasty Dallas pass rush. Should Shanahan double Micah Parsons most of the night, it’ll allow Aiyuk to free himself up in the endzone. He hasn’t scored since Week 1, and like Deebo, he possesses open-field speed that the Dallas defense has struggled with thus far. With the spotlight on CMC, the touchdown odds on these speedy receivers are certainly worth a second look.

Aiyuk will likely be lined up against cornerback Stephon Gilmore for the majority of the night. He’s already allowed two touchdowns on the season, and I struggle to see how the 33-year-old can stay in front of Aiyuk Sunday evening.
