We’ve got a single game on the slate on the NBA hardwood for Monday as the postseason’s third round continues. It’s Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals series on the shores of Lake Erie. We saw an epic collapse or an epic comeback in Game 1 depending on which side you were backing. That was followed by a more emphatic Game 2 triumph by the Knicks Thursday night. Game 3 was more of the same as the Knicks took care of business on the road. What happens when one team has its back to the wall for Game 4?

Let’s take a spin around the league and see what’s on tap while identifying the best NBA bets today.

Best NBA Bets Today – Player Props

Jarrett Allen, Cavaliers Over 12.5 Points (+100, BetMGM)

After being a non-factor early in the postseason, Allen found his footing as the playoffs went on. He comes into this game having double-digit points in eight of his last nine games. Allen scored at least 13 points seven times in his last nine contests. That includes 13 points in Game 2 and 17 points in Game 3 of this series. If Cleveland has any chance of extending this series back to the Big Apple for Game 5, he has to be a factor. Look for Allen to put up points and do his part for a fading Cavaliers squad.

Mikal Bridges, Knicks Over 21.5 Points, Rebounds + Assists (-103, DraftKings)

Bridges has quietly been an effective secondary or tertiary scoring option for the Knicks this postseason. In his last eight games, Bridges averaged 26.1 points, rebounds and assists. He surpassed this mark in each of those contests. We saw him go over this mark in Game 3 on points alone as he finished with 22 points. He stepped up his game since the first round came to a close, making New York dangerous. With the Knicks sizzling offensively right now, anyone is capable of a big night. Look for Bridges to turn in a normal night, going over the number.

Karl-Anthony Towns, Knicks Over 4.5 Assists (-131, DraftKings)

We’ve gone to this well repeatedly but when you’re hitting with regularity, it makes sense. Towns surpassed this mark in 15 of the Knicks’ last 17 games entering this contest. That includes dishing out seven dimes in Game 3 of the series Saturday night. New York has all five starters as viable scoring options, making each of them a threat, either to score or facilitate. Towns has at least six assists in eight of his last 10 games. I’d be comfortable going over 5.5 and potentially over 6.5 but the odds are solid enough here to secure a win.

Best NBA Bets Today – Sides

Knicks -2.5 (DraftKings, -105)

Cleveland finds itself in dire straits and I don’t mean getting your money for nothing and your chicks for free. The Cavaliers were in prime shape to set the tone with a 22-point lead with 7:52 to go in the fourth quarter of Game 1. We all know what happened as things fell apart. Since that point, Cleveland has been outscored by 62 points. The Cavaliers haven’t slowed Brunson and their stars failed to get the job done in crunch time. Cleveland lost all three games in this series by double figures. It’s hard to see them suddenly turning things around now. Take New York to sweep the series and advance to the NBA Finals.

Cavaliers vs. Knicks Under 217.5 (DraftKings, -112)

We didn’t see the kind of offensive output one would expect in Game 1. The Knicks have the second-best scoring offense in the postseason. However, the game was even at 101 at the end of regulation before the Knicks’ 14-3 advantage in overtime. As it was, it took almost all of that overtime production to edge past the number. In Game 2, defense again was the name of the game. The 202 combined points fell well short of the number. We saw 231 points in Game 3 as both teams shot at least 50% from the floor. Cleveland needs better defense while the Knicks are stout on that end of the floor. Therefore, lean toward the under in this contest.
