We’ve got a single game on the slate on the NBA hardwood for Saturday as the postseason’s third round continues. It’s Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals series on the shores of Lake Erie. We saw an epic collapse or an epic comeback in Game 1 depending on which side you were backing. That was followed by a more emphatic Game 2 triumph by the Knicks Thursday night. What happens when the series changes venue for Game 3?

Let’s take a spin around the league and see what’s on tap while identifying the best NBA bets today.

NBA Schedule

Best NBA Bets Today – Player Props

Evan Mobley, Cavaliers Over 3.5 Assists (+106, FanDuel)

Mobley was the Cavaliers’ version of Towns, in the way that he facilities things offensively. That was prevalent in the series against the Pistons as he averaged 4.8 dimes a game in that series. Four times, he posted at least five assists. In addition, in six of those games, he had at least four. That’s all you’d need for this one to cash. While he had three dimes in both Game 1 and Game 2 of this series, Cleveland knows improvement is necessary if they hope for a turnaround. That means maximizing their offensive production which leads to Mobley distributing more in this contest.

Mikal Bridges, Knicks Over 12.5 Points (-130, Fanatics)

Bridges has quietly been an effective secondary or tertiary scoring option for the Knicks this postseason. He’s gone over this number in six of his last seven games. In the one game he fell short, it was by the hook as he scored 12. Bridges comes in off a nine of 12 shooting night in Game 2, finishing with 19 points in the victory. Over the last seven games, Bridges averaged 18.7 points per game. With the Knicks sizzling offensively right now, anyone is capable of a big night. Therefore, look for Bridges to turn in a normal night, going over the number.

Karl-Anthony Towns, Knicks Over 4.5 Assists (+122, FanDuel)

Towns put up big playmaking numbers in the second half of the Knicks’ series with the Hawks. After putting up a total of 10 assists in the first three games, he recorded 26 assists in the final three games. That included a pair of triple-doubles, coming in Games 4 and 6. Towns has at least four assists in 14 of his last 16 games entering this contest. He averaged six assists a night in the series against the Hawks in the first round. Towns averaged 7.5 dimes against the 76ers and had five in Game 1 of this set. Game 2 seemed like an aberration as he finished with just one assist. Some of that was due to Josh Hart firing a team-high 21 shots in the game. Expect things to balance out a bit, helping Towns back over the number.

Best NBA Bets Today – Sides

Knicks +2.5 (DraftKings, -110)

Cleveland blew their chances in Game 1 and gave up a big second half run to lose Game 2. The Cavaliers are 6-1 at home in the playoffs but they did drop their most recent home contest. That came in Game 6 against the Pistons in the Eastern Conference semifinals. New York has won nine straight playoff games, eight of which came by double figures. The Knicks are rolling right now and the venue hasn’t been a factor as they’ve won at home in addition to the road. Until Cleveland beats them, roll with the Knickerbockers as they make it 10 straight playoff wins.

Cavaliers vs. Knicks Under 214.5 (BetMGM, -115)

We didn’t see the kind of offensive output one would expect in Game 1. The Knicks have the second-best scoring offense in the postseason. However, the game was even at 101 at the end of regulation before the Knicks’ 14-3 advantage in overtime. As it was, it took almost all of that overtime production to edge past the number. In Game 2, defense again was the name of the game. The 202 combined points fell well short of the number. Six of the last 10 meetings have fallen under the mark and with the Cavaliers sputtering, it’s tough to see big numbers. Therefore, lean toward the under in this contest.
