We’ve got two games on the slate on the NBA hardwood for Wednesday as the postseason’s second round continues. It’s a pivotal Game 6 of an Eastern Conference semifinal series on the shores of Lake Erie. In the Western Conference, there’s an equally important Game 6 in the Twin Cities. Meanwhile, one team from each conference, the Knicks and Thunder, already advanced to their respective conference finals.

Cade Cunningham, Pistons Over 26.5 Points (-115, Fanatics)

Cunningham piles up points in the postseason and win or lose, he’s produced. In 12 playoff games this season, he scored at least 27 points eight times. That’s a 67% success rate when it comes to cashing this particular prop. Cunningham racked up 39 points in Game 5, even though they came in a losing effort. The Pistons sink or swim based on what Cunningham does on the offensive end. Sure, guys like Tobias Harris and Jalen Duuren are important. However, unless Cunningham does his heavy lifting, Detroit is dead in the water. Look for him to do his share for the Pistons and go over his prop.

Jarrett Allen, Cavaliers Under 7.5 Rebounds (-125, BetMGM)

Allen had a couple big games on the glass in the opening round against the Raptors. However, in this series, he is a non-entity on the glass. Allen averages just 5.8 boards a night in this series. He pulled down more than five boards just twice in five games. That kind of production doesn’t intimidate anyone. Sure, he had 10 boards in Game 5 but logged his highest minute total of the series with 36:27 of action. Until Allen hits the boards with some aggressiveness and consistency, don’t expect much from him. Therefore, roll with the under on this one.

Victor Wembanyama, Spurs Over 13.5 Rebounds (+100, FanDuel)

Wembanyama has been all over the boards in the postseason for the Spurs. If one tosses out Game 4 against Minnesota, when he was ejected early in the second quarter, he’s racked up at least 14 boards in five straight games. That includes a 17-rebound performance in the Spurs’ Game 5 triumph at home. Minnesota hasn’t been able to slow Wembanyama on the boards, whether he’s being guarded Rudy Gobert, Naz Reid or a combination of players. Based on what we’ve seen, look for him to clean up on the boards again here.

Cavaliers -3.5 (FanDuel, -110)

Detroit had their foot on the throat of the Cavaliers but eased off the pressure. That cost them dearly as they fell in overtime and now need a road win to return home for Game 7. Unlike Orlando in the opening round, the Cavaliers have momentum on their side heading into this contest. Detroit needed an epic meltdown by the Magic in Game 6 of the first round to get to a Game 7.  This Cleveland team is a veteran squad with high expectations. They also are unbeaten at home in the playoffs this season. Detroit has dropped 12 of their last 13 trips to Cleveland. Look for the Cavaliers to punch their ticket to the Eastern Conference Finals with a win here.

Spurs -4.5 (FanDuel, -114)

Minnesota has won twice in the series but this is gut check time for the Timberwolves. There is no extra boost from having a star returning from injury. Minnesota won’t catch a break, at least realistically, where Wembanyama gets himself tossed. San Antonio bounced back from their losses in Game 1 and Game 4 by winning in blowout fashion. Playing on the road, we saw the Spurs cover the line in their Game 3 victory before losing outright in Game. With momentum on their side, look for San Antonio come away with the win here to clinch the series.
