We’ve got a pair of games on the slate on the NBA hardwood for Tuesday as the other two second round series gets underway. There were three Game 7s in the opening round of the postseason and we saw upsets to boot. Minnesota upended Denver as an interloper in the Western Conference. Philadelphia rallied from 3-1 down to stun second-seeded Boston in seven games. Meanwhile, Detroit rebounded from a 3-1 hole to down Orlando in seven games.

Let’s take a spin around the league and see what’s on tap while identifying the best NBA bets today.

NBA Schedule

Best NBA Bets Today – Player Props

Isaiah Hartenstein, Thunder Over 15.5 Points and Rebounds (-124, DraftKings)

Hartenstein averaged 9.2 points and 9.4 rebounds per game in the regular season. In the Thunder’s sweep of the Suns in the opening round, he averaged 11 points plus 8.3 rebounds a contest. Hartenstein went over this mark in seven of his last 10 games dating back to the regular season. That includes four of his previous five and three of the four games in the Phoenix series. Hartenstein averaged seven points and seven rebounds a game in four regular season games against the Lakers. With that said, he averaged just 18 minutes a night in those contests. That number climbs here and Hartenstein’s numbers do as well.

Jalen Duren, Pistons Under 15.5 Points (-105, BetMGM)

Duren was outplayed by Wendell Carter Jr. for much of the series against Orlando in the first round of the playoffs. He saw his numbers drop from 19.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per contest in the regular season to 10.6 points plus 9.4 boards a night in the playoffs. Duren averaged 21.7 ppg and 12.3 rebounds a night in three meetings with Cleveland in the regular season. Against Orlando, Duren scored in double figures four times but topped out at 15 points in Game 7. Seeing how he struggled offensively in the series, it’s tough seeing him turning things around right away. Therefore, take the under here.

Jarrett Allen, Cavaliers Under 8.5 Rebounds (-150, DraftKings)

Allen averaged 8.5 boards per game in the regular season for the Cavaliers. That number stayed close to the regular season total as he pulled down 8.3 boards a night in the first round series against Toronto. However, a closer look shows that all isn’t what it seems. Allen had two big games in the series, collecting 15 rebounds in Game 4 and 19 in Game 7. That’s 34 of the 58 boards he pulled down in two games. It also means he averaged 4.8 rebounds per game in the other five games of the set. You can take the under 7.5 at slight plus money odds as well.

Best NBA Bets Today – Sides

Thunder -15.5 (Fanatics, -115)

We saw these teams meet four times in the regular season. Four times, the Thunder won and covered the line. In the two games at the Paycom Center, Oklahoma City pounded the Lakers into the floor, outscoring them by a combined 72 points. The Thunder averaged 125.5 points per game in the season series while holding the Lakers under 100 points three times. Three of the four wins by Oklahoma City came by at least 29 points. The Lakers are still without Luka Doncic more than likely at this point. Based on what we saw when the Lakers were healthy, there’s no reason to like their chances. Therefore, take the Thunder to roll to a victory.

Pistons -2.5 (DraftKings, -115)

Neither side has a rest advantage as both teams went the distance in the opening round. Cleveland advanced on the strength of home court advantage in the opening round. The Cavaliers were 0-3 on the road against Toronto, losing by 22, four and two points. In the regular season, the teams split four meetings, each winning once at home and on the road. Detroit won three straight with their backs to the wall to beat Orlando. The Pistons have that momentum on their side. Cleveland has the experience factor but the Pistons are at home. As a result, look for Detroit to defend their home floor with a win here.
