Wednesday NBA player props: Dec. 1
Pelicans F Jonas Valanciunas
After going off for a career-high 39 points with seven 3-pointers, Jonas Valanciunas will look to carry the Pelicans offense in Dallas tonight. The Mavs could be without Kristaps Porzingis (ankle) and Willie Cauley-Stein remains out due to illness. Dallas is giving up 53.3 PPG in the paint over its last three contests and coughed up 60 paint points in a loss to Cleveland on Monday.
JoVal is averaging 20.5 PPG and 13.5 RPG over his last two meetings with the Mavs and sporting a 31% usage rate over his last six outings.
Rockets G Kevin Porter Jr.
Kevin Porter Jr. nearly recorded the first triple double of his career in this matchup on Monday and official scorers reversed his last rebound. Yet he still posted a line of 11 points, nine boards, and 11 assists and is now averaging 16 PPG, 7.7 RPG, and 10.7 APG during Houston’s modest 3-game win streak. He gets a rematch tonight with a Thunder team that coughs up the most defensive RPG (38.5) while ranking dead last in shooting efficiency, yet his player prop sits at just 5.5 rebounds with +125 odds at DraftKings.
KPJ should be able to grab six boards and get over his prop of 28.5 combined points, rebounds, and assists.
