NBA Players Props Tonight
Philadelphia 76ers at Brooklyn Nets
76ers at Nets tips off at 7:30 p.m. ET with coverage on TNT. Philadelphia leads 2-0 after covering each of the first two matchups.
Notes for Game 3:
Brooklyn failed to maintain its first-half edge in Game 2 — in large part due to the same obstacle that plagued Jacque Vaughn’s team the first time around. When Joel Embiid establishes his paint positioning, the Nets’ frontcourt hasn’t had an answer. Overall, the soon-to-be NBA MVP is manufacturing 23.0 points per game via a 29.8% usage rate.
Moreover, the Sixers’ floor-spacers have torched the Nets’ defense when they’ve sent double-teams Embiid’s way. On Monday, Tyrese Maxey & Co. were deadly on corner 3-point looks, shooting a combined 43.8% from that vicinity. Unless Vaughn throws a newfound wrinkle at the 76ers, it’s difficult to imagine Brooklyn overcoming this barrier.
That said, James Harden‘s scoring efficiency — or lack thereof — may be worth targeting. Harden has delivered a subpar 0.86 points scored per FGA over the first two games. Unlike against Embiid, the Nets have athletic guards and wings built to disrupt Harden.
It’s worth noting that his props prop () has been bet down a notch since it opened, though.
