The NBA returns to a full 10-game slate on Monday with a couple of intriguing non-conference matchups on tap, including the Nuggets at Bulls and Hawks at Timberwolves.
Karl-Anthony Towns (tailbone) and D’Angelo Russell (ankle) are questionable to suit up for Minnesota and Atlanta is in a back-to-back situation on the road. The Hornets are hosting the 76ers in a back-to-back situation and Charlotte will be without LaMelo Ball, Terry Rozier, Mason Plumlee, and Jalen McDaniels due to health and safety protocols. The Bulls will be without Alex Caruso (hamstring) tonight against Denver, and Chicago will also be missing Javonte Green and Coby White due to their COVID outbreak.

Monday NBA player props: Dec. 6
Hornets F Gordon Hayward
The Hornets are extremely shorthanded tonight, leaving Gordon Hayward to serve as the de facto top option on offense against a Sixers team that is far worse on defense when playing on the road. Hayward is averaging 20 PPG, 6.7 RPG, and 5.7 APG on 48/40/100% shooting splits over three games against Philly since joining the Hornets. His usage rate rises from 22 to 24% when LaMelo Ball is out for Charlotte and he’s shooting 50% from the floor when Rozier is out. Hayward should top his scoring prop (18.5 points at DraftKings) with a good shot to top 20-plus points (+126 at FanDuel).
Pistons C Isaiah Stewart
The Pistons host the Thunder tonight in a game that features two teams riding eight-game losing streaks. However, OKC has been far less competitive than Detroit and is coming off an NBA record 73-point loss on Friday. The Thunder yield the most defensive RPG (40.5) on the road and are shooting a league-low 38% from the floor over their last three games. Detroit’s Isaiah Stewart, who is coming off consecutive double doubles, should be able to top 18.5 rebounds (-125 at DraftKings). You can get great odds (+230) on a Pistons win along with 10-plus boards from “Beef Stew” by using the Player Performance Doubles at FanDuel Sportsbook.
