Grizzlies At Heat Player Props
Desmond Bane Under 23.5 Pts and Over 10.5 Rebounds + Assists
Here are Bane’s core points, rebounds and assists props for the game against the Heat:
- Points: Over/Under /
- Rebounds: Over/Under /
- Assists: Over/Under /
- Rebounds and Assists: Over/Under /
Strap in for another gritty game when the Grizzlies take on the Heat in Miami.
Ja Morant is still away from the team for an undetermined amount of time, making this the third straight game against the Heat the Grizzlies will be without their All-Star point guard. The previous two matchups without Morant averaged 194 total points per contest and were more reminiscent of a Heat-Grizzlies game from the 90’s than today’s wide-open style.
I’m banking on Wednesday night’s game to be a similarly slow, physical affair. That’s why I like Desmond Bane to go Under total points, but Over his combined rebounds and assists.
While Bane does average a higher usage rate and scoring average without Ja Morant this season, neither increase is noteworthy. With Morant, Bane averages a 26% usage rate, scoring 21 points on 16 field goal attempts. Without him, his usage only goes up to 28% and his points to 22 per game on 17 attempts from the field.
I also wouldn’t expect those shots to come easy against a Miami Heat team that is shutting down opposing shooting guards on the season, holding them to the third-fewest points per game. Bane has only averaged 19 points in 29 minutes per game the last two times he faced Miami, including 21 points in a game without Morant last season.
His assists totals, however, nearly double in Morant’s absence, jumping up to 5.6 per game, compared to 3.6 when Ja is available. He’s been even better dishing the ball over the last 5 games in this scenario, averaging 6.4 assists alongside 5.2 rebounds. As good as Miami is at limiting opposing shooting guards in scoring, they actually allow the eighth-most assists to that position.
A slow, choppy game on Wednesday will lead to missed shots and rebounding opportunities, hence why I like adding the rebounds to Bane’s assists prop tonight. Memphis’s last two games were of a similar style against the depleted-Mavericks and Bane averaged 15 combined rebounds and assists.

Lakers At Rockets
Austin Reaves Over 13.5 Points
Here are Austin Reaves’ core points, rebounds and assists props for the game against the Rockets:
- Points: Over/Under /
- Rebounds: Over/Under /
- Assists: Over/Under /
The Los Angeles Lakers face an opportunity to build on their one-game lead for the 10th and final spot in the Play-In Tournament when they take on the last-place Houston Rockets on Wednesday night. LA should be able to put up points on a Rockets defense that has been near or at the bottom of most important defensive categories all season long.
With LeBron James out for the ninth straight game and Anthony Davis unlikely to suit up, the Lakers will rely on role players such as Austin Reaves to score those points. At a total of I like the Over on Reaves’ points in this one.
The key here is going to be the amount of minutes coach Darwin Ham sees fit to play Austin Reaves. Over his last eight games since LeBron injured his foot, Reaves has averaged 15 points a night, going over on Wednesday’s points prop in six of those eight. The only two games he failed to record 14 points he also played less than 25 minutes and still finished the game with 13.
Davis has played in seven of the Lakers’ last eight games and in the only game without Davis, Reaves put up 19 points in just 25 minutes against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Houston has had major troubles stopping anyone on defense, but especially the opposing team’s shooting guard. On the season the Rockets allow the sixth-most points and the most 3-pointers to the position, an area of the floor where Reaves is especially dangerous. Last time Reaves played the Rockets in March of 2022, he dropped 17 points with three deep balls in 33 minutes.
