Pelicans At Trail Blazers Player Props
Below are the available player props for the game between the Pelicans and Trail Blazers. Portland is on the second leg of a back-to-back and will be slow to update its injury report. The table will automatically update as the Trail Blazers’ player props are added to each sportsbook.
Trey Murphy III Over 15.5 Points
Here are Murphy III’s core points, rebounds and assists props for the game against the Trail Blazers:
- Points: Over/Under /
- Rebounds: Over/Under /
- Assists: Over/Under /
The Pelicans and Trail Blazers are hurtling in opposite directions down the stretch of this NBA season.
New Orleans has won four in a row and is clinging to the 8-seed with a shot at avoiding the Play-In Tournament altogether. Portland has won four games in its last 15 and is headed for a lottery pick in next year’s draft.
Pelicans’ young shooting guard, Trey Murphy III has been a huge reason for the team’s late-season push towards the Playoffs. At just , his points prop is low for what should be an easy matchup against a weak Trail Blazers’ defense, so, I’m hitting the over.
Shooting From Deep
For Trey Murphy III, reaching his points prop on Monday is all about his ability to score from three-point. Over his last 10 games, Murphy III is averaging 20.4 points with 4.6 made-threes on better-than 50% shooting from deep.
He’s also hit tonight’ prop in seven of those 10 games, only failing to do so in three blowout games for the Pelicans. Even in the three games he went under 16 points, Murphy III got plenty of burn, averaging 36 minutes per night.
Portland has finally given up on this season, choosing to play its younger reserves. Damian Lillard, Jerami Grant and Anfernee Simons all sat out Sunday night’s game against the Thunder and remain questionable for Monday night’s matchup with the Pels.
No D In Portlan’
Over the team’s last seven games, the Trail Blazers are allowing the third-most three-pointers to their opponents at better than a 41% clip.
That run of awful perimeter defense began with their previous meeting against Murphy III and company on March 12. In that game, Murphy dropped a career-high 41 points, including nine triples on 64% from beyond the arc.
In fact, Murphy III broke his career scoring highs in back-to-back nights after he dropped 32 points the previous game against the Los Angeles Clippers. Let’s keep backing the young Pelican in a tasty matchup with the Blazers.
Mavericks At Pacers Player Props
Jaden Hardy Over 17.5 Points, Rebounds, and Assists
Here are Hardy’s core points, rebounds and assists props for the game against the Pacers:
- Rebounds: Over/Under /
- Points and Rebounds: Over/Under /
- Points, Rebounds, and Assists: Over/Under /
Luka Doncic picked up his 16th technical foul of the year on Sunday and won’t be available for the Mavericks on Monday night in Indiana. Kyrie Irving doesn’t appear on the injury list, but will likely be hobbled by his nagging right foot.
It’s pretty much do-or-die time for Jason Kidd and the Mavs. After losing four straight games, including two in a row to the Charlotte Hornets, Dallas currently finds itself in eleventh place in the West and outside of the Play-In Tournament.
Expect Kidd to rely heavily on Rookie Jaden Hardy to stop the bleeding and get the team a much-need win. His combined points, rebounds, and assists prop sits at tonight and I expect him to go over that fairly easily.
Stepping Up
Hardy wasn’t given much of a chance to prove himself until Luka Doncic was sidelined for two weeks on March 8. The next game he gave the Memphis Grizzlies 22 points in 37 minutes and put the league on notice to his offensive abilities.
Over the last five games without Luka, Hardy has averaged 19.0 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.0 assists in just 28 minutes per game. That includes one game against the Lakers where Kidd pulled Hardy after just six minutes, citing a lack of defensive effort as his reasoning.
Take that game away, and Hardy’s numbers are even more impressive over that time at 23-5-4 in 34 minutes a night.
It’s Over In Indy
Much like the Trail Blazers, Indiana appears ready for this season to end. Tyrese Haliburton has only played in eight of the team’s last 15 games and is questionable to play on Monday. Shot-blocker Myles Turner is also questionable, which should open up the paint for Hardy to get all the way to the rim.
Over its last seven games, Indiana has allowed its opponents to make more than 14 threes a game. It’s also allowing the second-most points in the paint. These are the exact locations on the floor where Hardy excels the most. On the season, more than 85% of his points are coming from beyond the arc or inside the paint.
The Pacers have struggled to defend shooting guards all season, allowing the most points and sixth-most assists per game to the position. With Kyrie in the lineup doing most of the ball-handling, Hardy will be in prime position to take advantage of Indiana’s weak defense on the wings.
Indiana’s already bad defense has only gotten worse since they’ve gone into tank mode. Over the last five games, it has the second-worst defensive rating.
Best of luck betting NBA player props tonight.
