There are several key injuries and players in COVID protocols throughout the NBA but we have a huge slate this Wednesday night with some good betting options, including the red-hot Grizzlies visiting the struggling Blazers in Portland.
The Lakers take on the Mavericks, who are without Luka Doncic, in Dallas tonight and the Spurs host the Hornets, who are without LaMelo Ball, in a game with a 228-point total as we look at NBA odds. Nikola Jokic looks to stay red hot as the Nuggets host the Wolves and the 76ers will look to take care of the Heat at home.
We’ll highlight our best NBA player prop bets for Wednesday and link to the NBA Coast 2 Coast Podcast, featuring Nate Weitzer and Josh Lander. Subscribe for free daily picks on our YouTube Channel.
We break down each of those games in those videos today and bring you a couple of prop bets to consider, including those listed below.
NBA Player Props: Find Today’s Best Odds
Wednesday NBA player props: Dec. 15
Nuggets C Nikola Jokic
Nikola Jokic has been piling up insane stats lately, including 56 combined points, rebounds, and assists over just 31 minutes before getting ejected in a 113-107 win over Washington on Monday. He’s averaging 15.2 RPG and 7.2 APG at home but has a relatively low prop of just 20.5 combined rebounds and assists at FanDuel. Jokic is averaging 30.7 PPG over his last three meetings against Minnesota, and owns a 120.9 offensive rating over his last five outings. He should also put the ball in the bucket and is a good bet to go over 35.5 combined points and assists as well.
Mavericks C Kristaps Porzingis
When Luka Doncic has been out over the past two seasons, Kristaps Porzingis sees a rise in usage rate from 26.6% to 30.1% and he averages 24.9 PPG and 10.2 RPG in those contests. He’s dropped at least 23 points in five of his last six home games without Luka and faces a Lakers team that is giving up the second-most PPG in the paint (51.2) along with the fourth-most second chance points this season. Anthony Davis (knee) is questionable and Dwight Howard (COVID) is out, so KP should be able to top 21.5 points (-110 at DraftKings) with a good shot at 30.5 combined points and rebounds.
