Nuggets At Spurs Player Props

Michael Porter Jr. Over 21.5 Points + Rebounds

Here are Porter Jr.’s core points, rebounds and assists props for the game against the Raptors:

  • Points: Over/Under /
  • Rebounds: Over/Under /
  • Assists: Over/Under /

The Nuggets and Spurs face off for the third time this season tonight in a matchup between the best team in the West all season and one of the worst. On paper it should be an easy win for Denver and a prime opportunity for small forward, Michael Porter Jr. to fill his stat line nicely. He’s averaging nearly 20 points and eight rebounds in the team’s two contests against San Antonio, including three 3-pointers at a 43% clip.

Over his last five games since returning from a brief injury he suffered agains the Memphis Grizzlies on February 25, Porter Jr. has similar averages to his quality stats against the Spurs this season at 21 points and just under seven boards. He’s seeing the basket incredibly well right now with impressive splits of 58% from the field and a sizzling 44% from deep, all adding up to an incredible 128.7 individual offensive rating.

San Antonio boasts one of the most reliably-awful defenses in the league, especially when it comes to containing Michael Porter Jr.’s position of Small Forward. As a team over their last seven games, the Spurs have allowed an average of 25.6 points per game to Small Forwards, the third-most during that time and even worse than their season average of 22.3.

Editor’s Note

Nets At Timberwolves

Mikal Bridges Over 28.5 Points + Rebounds

Here are Mikal Bridges’ core points, rebounds and assists props for the game against the Timberwolves:

  • Points: Over/Under /
  • Rebounds: Over/Under /
  • Assists: /

Bridges has been on a tear since becoming the primary option on his new team, the Brooklyn Nets. In 11 games with Brooklyn, is averaging 25.0 points in 33 minutes per game, an eight-point increase from his 17 points per contest with Phoenix this season. He’s put up 30-plus points in five of those 11 games, including a 45-point outburst over the puzzling Miami Heat.

While his points prop is low at just 23.5 points, it’s probably a good ideas to include the rebounds in his prop tonight due to how bad the Timberwolves are at keeping their opponents off the glass, surprising considering they acquired All-Star Center Rudy Gobert last offseason. To be fair to Gobert, those rebounds are not coming by way of the opposing team’s Centers, as the Timberwolves have limited that position to the eighth-fewest rebounds all year. The problem for Minnesota has been that after Gobert boxes out his man, the opposing team’s Small Forward roams freely to the basket to clean things up, as the Timberwolves have allowed the third-most rebounds on the season to the position Mikal Bridges happens to play.

This matchup should have a high-octane pace to help increase the amount of possessions and allow Bridges to go over on his points and rebounds, as Brooklyn has sped things up since shaking up the roster, playing at the fastest Pace over their past seven games. Minnesota has played at one of the fastest paces for the entire season, another reason they allow so many rebounds to the opposition as there are usually a lot of shots and a lot bricks in a Timberwolves game.
