NBA odds Monday lines Bulls

The NBA rolls out an interesting seven-game slate Saturday that tips off at high noon with a Celtics-Pistons battle. Two teams that engaged in a double-overtime marathon Friday night, the Spurs and Wizards, have the unenviable task of returning to the floor Saturday. The two teams deadlocked at the top of the Eastern Conference, the Bulls and Heat, are also in action – with Chicago part of one of the marquee matchups of the night against the visiting Grizzlies.

NBA odds for Saturday, February 26

Here are the today’s NBA betting lines with pro basketball point spreads, moneylines and totals.

What to watch for today

Celtics look to continue dominance in rare Noon clash: Any thoughts of a bit of an All-Star break cool-off for the Celtics were quickly disproven by Boston in its return to action Thursday, as they throttled the Nets by a 129-106 score. It was their straight double-digit victory and sixth in their last seven wins overall. One of those comfortable triumphs in that span came against the same Pistons team they’ll face Saturday to start the slate, but Ime Udoka’s squad will still have revenge on its mind. That’s because the Celts’ only loss since Jan. 29 was also at the hands of Detroit, which nipped them by a 112-111 score Feb. 16, the final game prior to the ASG layoff.

Raptors try to pick up pieces after embarrassing Friday loss: The Raptors were another team that went into the All-Star break trending in the right direction for the most part, but Toronto got a rude welcome to the stretch run of the season Friday night at the hands of the Charlotte Hornets. To make matters worse, OG Anunoby missed the game for Toronto with a fractured right finger that could also certainly keep him out of Saturday’s visit to Atlanta to face the Hawks. Trae Young and company also suffered a loss, albeit a narrow one, in their first game back Thursday night, falling to the Bulls by a 112-108 score.

Wizards and Cavs aim to stop skids: The Wizards and Cavaliers are both considered contenders in the Eastern Conference, although they’re fairly disparate ends of the spectrum. While Cleveland finds itself in the No. 5 seed despite three straight losses, Washington is one game out of the play-in level with a 27-32 mark after a strong start to the season. Wes Unseld, Jr.’s crew suffered a defeat that was both exhausting and particularly frustrating in its return to play Friday night as well, as they fell to the Spurs at home in double overtime, 157-153. Consequently, fatigue could certainly play a factor Saturday night as the two squads meet for the fourth and final time this season.

Bulls face off with Grizzlies, try to hang on to share of top seed: The Bulls and Heat went into the All-Star break sharing the top seed in the Eastern Conference, and after one game apiece in the stretch run of the season, the two squads have remained tied by each notching a win. Both teams will be in action Saturday night, with Miami hosting the Spurs and Chicago doing the same with the Grizzlies. The latter clash should be particularly interesting, considering Memphis is trying to stop a rare two-game skid itself.

Kyrie returns to action for showdown against Bucks: The Nets and Bucks also tangle Saturday night in what could be considered a co-main event alongside the aforementioned Grizzlies-Bulls tilt. Brooklyn hasn’t been playing anywhere close to its reputation of late, going a shocking 2-13 since Jan. 23. However, with Milwaukee serving as the hosts Saturday night, Kyrie Irving will be able to take the floor for the first time since Feb. 12, while Seth Curry will be looking to extend the torrid start to his Nets career that’s seen him average 19.3 points on 50.0 percent shooting, including 46.7 percent from distance, in his first four games.
