NBA Draft Q&A With Jay Bilas
Should the Hornets draft Miller or Henderson?
“Henderson is probably the more competitive, dynamic (player). He’s a Russell Westbrook-type athlete. I’m not saying in the long run he’s going to be as great as Westbrook. But at this age, that’s who he would compare favorably to at that age.
“He’s not the shooter than Miller is — certainly not yet. I think he (Henderson) can get better as a (perimeter) shooter, but that’s not the strength of his game right now.”
Editor’s note: Below are the odds for which player is drafted at No. 2 overall.
Between Kobe Bufkin, Gradey Dick, and Jalen Hood-Schifino, which longshot NBA Draft lottery pick are you highest on?
“Well they all bring something different. Gradey Dick is the best shooter among that crew. Kobe Bufkin plays at both ends of the floor. (He’s) left-handed, (and he) really made a big jump from last year to this year.
(Bufkin) kind of (underwent) a late-blooming development as a player. (He’s) very good defensively, disruptive, gets a lot of deflections, steals, and he’s an efficient offensive player. (He) can handle it, gets to the rim, good shooter, doesn’t force anything.
“Hood-Schifino (is a) long-armed, big, strong guard… (yet) he has not been as efficient as he needs to be. … He’s very, very capable. He needs to mature, tighten up his game a little bit, and improve his shooting consistency (from behind the arc). But he’s got a lot of high-level attributes.”
