NBA All-Star Weekend Odds 2025: Favorites, Longshots For Saturday Contests
Betting on NBA All-Star odds involves more than just Sunday's game. Bettors have many options to wager on throughout the weekend's festivities, including several high-profile events as part of State Farm All-Star Saturday Night. These are, of course, the famous dunk and 3-point contests, plus the skills challenge.
Let's examine NBA odds for these events from betting sites that have posted early markets. We'll go in chronological order.
Skills Challenge Odds
The skills challenge has changed formats yet again. After three years of having three three-man teams compete, the 2025 edition will feature four two-man teams:
- Team Cavs (Donovan Mitchell, Evan Mobley)
- Team Rooks (Zaccharie Risacher, Alex Sarr)
- Team Spurs (Chris Paul, Victor Wembanyama)
- Team Warriors (Draymond Green, Moses Moody)
It's not known exactly what the contest will entail this year. Typically, it starts with an obstacle course. Players run through the course, passing, shooting, and dribbling. Speed is key, as is quickly making a 3-point shot. Last year, the event progressed to a sort of three-man shooting weave. With two-player teams this year, that may change.
A race to one halfcourt shot was the tiebreaker.
It's worth noting that this year's All-Star Game takes place in San Francisco. A squad representing the hosting team has won three straight years. That might give Team Warriors a leg up here.
3-POint Contest Odds
Unlike with the skills challenge, the 3-point contest has a clear-ish favorite: two-time defending champ Damian Lillard. The Blazer-turned-Buck will participate for the fifth time, making him one of the most experienced performers in the event's history.
Buddy Hield also brings copious experience, having participated three times. He's also a former champ (2020) and is priced just behind Lillard.
Remember that the format favors players who can get their shots up quickly and hit from the longer-range distances. Most of the shots come from above the break, and the players get two shots from the "Starry" range a couple of feet behind the line. These are worth extra points.
Here's a statistical comparison of the participants:
Player Career 3p% 2024-25 3p% 2024-25 ATB 3p% 2024-25 Deep 3p% Lillard 37.1 38.2 39 38.3 Hield 39.8 36.7 36 36.5 Garland 39.2 43.1 43 43.4 Powell 39.9 42.6 43 40.9 Herro 38.5 38.5 38 37.8 Johnson 39.5 41.3 40 38.5 Brunson 39.2 39.7 40 42.5 Cunningham 33.6 35.1 36 35.6
Dunk Contest Odds
Last, we have the dunk contest.
Left with but shades of its former glory, the dunk contest has turned into an annual showcase and coronation for G League player Mac McClung. The dunker extraordinaire has won the past two dunk contests. Like Lillard, he's back to go for the three-peat.
In 2023, McClung won easily with a perfect score in the finals. Last year, it was a bit tighter, but he held off Jaylen Brown after entering the event as a prohibitive favorite.
The odds are a bit closer this time, but McClung remains favored over the field. Last year, he was closer to -200.
