NBA All-Star Game Odds, Predictions: MVP Betting, New Four-Team Format Explained
The NBA All-Star Game has undergone another makeover. Instead of East vs. West or playground-style pickup teams, the league has opted to drastically shift things to nudge it into a more competitive and entertaining product. The 2025 edition will feature a four-team tournament. How does this affect NBA All-Star Game odds?
Let's look at how betting sites handle these NBA odds.
NBA ALl-Star Tournament Odds
We'll start with a quick rundown of the new format. NBA TV personalities Shaquille O'Neal, Charles Barkley, and Kenny Smith divvied the All-Stars. Each of them wound up with a team of eight. Those three teams and one more will participate in a four-team mini-tournament.
The fourth team will come from the Rising Stars event on Friday. Four rosters of seven to eight players will compete in that tournament. Candace Parker will "coach" the winning team in Sunday's main All-Star Game(s). Needless to say, Team Candace will have its work cut out for it with a group of younger players against established superstars.
Each game in Sunday's tournament will be a race to 40 points. Players earn extra money for their teams' finishes:
- $125,000 for champions
- $50,000 for runners-up
- $25,000 for others
Now, let's examine each team's roster. We'll add the fourth team when it becomes available.

NBA All-Star MVP Odds
Another popular bet on the NBA All-Star Game is which player will win MVP. In recent years, All-Star MVPs have included Damian Lillard, Jayson Tatum, and Stephen Curry.
It's usually a bit of a crapshoot, especially with the reduced efforts we've seen in recent years. But remember that the intensity may ramp up a bit with the shorter games. Adam Silver certainly hopes it does.
Below, find the players with odds shorter than 20-1 for All-Star MVP.
